This is a good little pub with a good juke box an pool table. Popped in here a few times in an afternoon an enjoyed it. Think it get lively at night but iv never been late on. Would recommend for a pint and pool.

I visited this restaurant during a weekend a weekend break the food was ok not great, it was edible. Not sure I would go there again. The food was basic very much like a chain restaurant. The atmosphere was good. The price was ok. They serve food later than most of the restaurants in the area, hence why I visited

The Queens Head is a very pretty little hotel in a fabulous setting, in the best English countryside you can find. Our room was pretty though terribly small, and the bed was fine once we delved through the dozens of cushions. The cushions drove me mad and I took to hiding them so they could not be replaced the following... More

Stopped off for a quick bite after a long walk in Grizedale forest and couldn't of been happier with our choice, food was fantastic and plenty of it, staff were friendly and choice of wines was very good. Would highly recommend eating here after a long day of walking to get the body fuelled again!

This pub was brilliant! It's ran very well and everyone was friendly. The porterhouse steak was one of the best steaks I've had for a while! Our waitress Elie was very nice and served us well. The place is small but you definitely don't feel squished and the atmosphere is great. RECOMMENDED!

A great place with lovely food and atmosphere. Your typical lakes pub with all the quirky features. Hope it returns and they back on their feet.

Last Thursday and Friday we enjoyed two fantastic meals at the Queens Head. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We sat I front of the roaring fire and were pampered by all. So sorry to hear that on Friday evening you experienced a terrible fire. Hope you are all fine and will... More

After a long day's walk, this was the perfect rest spot. Great glasses of wine by the glass, and even more wonderful food. I had the Scotch Egg with black pudding for starters and then a great tuna salad. Very sad to read about the recent fire (which happened 5 days after my visit). I wish all the staff all... More
