Lovely vegan meal, vegatrarian and meat eater also loved their food. We ate in the conservatory with a lovely view over the Bay. Very busy as it was mother’s day but the service was still excellent and it wasn’t overcrowded.

A break on the canal walk we called in for coffee. Not particularly hungry we asked if we could share a beef sandwich. The 'shared' sandwich came on two plates with salad on each. Great service.

Description
The Bay Horse Hotel is a 17th century coaching inn nestled alongside the Levens Estuary with fantastic panoramic views. Often described as a hidden gem, it is a place to suit all tastes and budgets, whether it be morning coffee, home made ice cream, a bar snack or celebratory meal. Always a warm welcome from the staff, a log fire in the winter and picnic benches to enjoy the views on fine days. Just one mile out of Ulverston town centre, why not walk down Britain's shortest, widest and deepest canal to find a hidden treasure, The Bay Horse Hotel. Our Aberdeen Steaks are not for the faint hearted, a good choice of fresh fish, good quality meat and a good selection for Vegetarians as well!
