We live locally to the Yorkshire Bridge although we haven't eaten there for years. We thought that we would give it a go for Sunday lunch for a change. At best, I would say that it was average. We have had far better else where.I was particularly disappointed with 1 roast potato with our roast beef dinner and it was expensive for what... Been here a few times and every time with out any fault. Sometimes we come for Sunday lunch or just a snack, but it's always up to standards. There's an area indoors for people with dogs this is brilliant. It's huge so there's plenty of seating.

Called in for lunch on the way back from Manchester airport to Sheffield. Plenty of car parking and several bar areas so managed to get a table within a few minutes of arriving. The portions are reasonable size and fair value - only complaint would be only one roast potato with the beef - seems stingy. I heard another person... More

Family group of 7 had Sunday evening meal here and all enjoyed it. This pub has a really good atmosphere and lovely bar area. The menu was good for kids and the quality of the food was good. They used to serve a giant prawn cocktail which is sadly no longer on the menu - such a shame as it... More

This is such a great pub/restaurant, that it will always be very busy but the staff always look very confident in there ability to serve their patrons. The food is excellent from a good compact menu so you will be spoilt for choice. Happy days

Enjoyed stopping in here on a walk, it's a lovely pub, with welcoming staff and a friendly atmosphere. Perfect for a big group to stop for a drink, didn't try the food, but I did see it was dog friendly.

We had the garlic mushrooms and the ploughman's lunch. It was all made from fresh and the portions were very generous. Lovely to see all the pickles and chutney made from scratch. Great food in general. And real ale! (Great day for the wife to drive!😄)

Lovely warm and friendly pub with excellent menu providing good food at a reasonable price. Nice in the winter with the log burner but I imagine the gardens in the summer are lovely as the views of the surrounding hills were lovely.

Nice place; nothing special. Food nowhere near what you'd get in the nearby Ladybower Inn or Strines. Big bugbear is that the prices are way too high for what the food quality and service would justify. £10 for a salad that was just a few leaves thrown on a plate wasn't good enough, especially when the potatoes it was supposed... Started to come here a few months ago with my elderly father, partly for the run out but also because of a recommendation. We haven't been disappointed, with last weekend being about our tenth visit. The food is all freshly cooked, and always have specials on Saturday when we go. The staff are friendly and efficient, and even when they are... More
