After a long walk from Little Eaton this is a welcome stop. Great pub, great food, good beers, think I might just go there now...

I love this place. Whether it's popping in for a pint after a walk in the summer or sitting by one of the open fires in the summer, I could not think of many pubs I'd rather visit. Great selection of beers and the best pub snacks of anywhere i've ever been - proper pork pies, scotch eggs and all... More

It is many years since i last visited the old Holly Bush pub,in fact during the early sixties when George Flint kept it he being a landlord of some repute locally!!Many pubs have become gin palaces but not this one as the main interior remains much as it was--a proper country pub tucked away from the main road although it... My wife and I took our daughter to a party in Duffield and were told that parents did not need to stay, so we found ourselves with a couple of hours free, we decided to go to the Holly Bush for lunch and a drink. We were met by extremely pleasant and helpful staff, who really know how to make... More

We’ve been calling in here on and off for years and the last couple of visits have noticed it’s been steadily going down hill. This last visit has finished me off though. The beer form the jug was only just ok. The cheese platter we were given had a piece of sweaty mouldy cheese on it, we thought it was... More

Food great but furniture uncomfortable and tables too close to next table. I would return. Have really enjoyed the bars and beer well looked after sublime choice and flavour . Lovely fire

Visiting this pub is a bit like stepping back in time. The interior can hardly have changed since it was built, and is a delightful jumble of beams, low ceilings, uneven floors and quaint nooks and crannies. The range of draught beers, ales and ciders on offer is impressive and the service is also reminiscent of years gone by, with... More

Hi thanks for the review, nothing worse than not knowing what drink to get because you don't know what any of them taste like! Hope to see you again soon to try some more! Regards James Bar Manager More

Came for a beer with the family, kids loved it, great range of ales to choose from. My only suggestion would be to use the old red phone box as a feature rather than somewhere to put high chairs.

Description
A warm welcome awaits you at our family run pub, a hub for real ale drinkers and walkers alike. A traditional 17th century village inn, where highwayman Dick Turpin is reported to have frequented on his travels. An increasingly rare breed of unspoilt inn, where time has stood still, encapsulating the character and charm of the building. With fresh homecooked food, a selection of fine real ales and warmth from the open fires, there is much to tempt you. Nothing comes close to our pork pie and a pint!
