We had a lovely meal here. We each had a different pie and both were delicious. Dog friendly which was great for us. We went back on the evening to watch the cosy Irish theme band and again another night for the quiz. Friendly welcoming pub.

Travelling with business, arrived quite late on a week night staff were happy to serve us dinner at around 8.30pm after getting stuck in traffic. Food was welcoming, hearty and good value. We were staying the night and attending a business event the following day so needed to be away earlyish. We asked, (as instructed to do so on the... More

Unfortunately we were staying across the road but if we could have 'done a runner' we would have!! Great food, massive portions and good menu choice. Staff friendly and attentive. Keep up the good work!

I guess my expectations were set by previous reviews and how lovely this pub looked from the outside. The food was plentiful but average in quality/taste. The pub itself seemed to lack a certain something.

Great selection of beer! It's old fashioned inside with lots of little alcoves and a really good atmosphere! We haven't had food but the beer was good and we had a great night chatting with friends. It's a cosy pub! Walkers are welcome

Great food and beer with charming staff. We eat here every trip. The chips are crispy on the oitside and fluffy on the inside.

Late Sunday Lunch - Food was good, the InnKeepers pie was a proper pie and worth traveling a few extra miles for.

For the fastest dose of classic Pub and English Inn experience, visit Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn. I enjoyed sitting in the corner sipping my pint watching all sorts of people filter in and out of the pub...and pretty soon I realized how much a cornerstone this place is!
