Ok pub, not the best we went to in Hope, didn't eat here, just had a drink. Seemed to be full of locals, so didn't feel too welcome

Got recommend to try the Chinese here and I was disappointed the ribs were as dry as anything I wouldn't of fed them to my dog! The sweet and sour mixed balls was ok but something didn't make me feel well! Pub was nice and staff were friendly and welcoming also it is dog friendly.

Were looking for somewhere different to eat a 'proper' meal on a wet July evening and decided that the Woodroffe Arms might be worth a try. Turns out the restaurant is actually a separate business serving Chinese/Asian food. It was actually quite good food-wise, the service was inexperienced but very friendly, the decoration lacks originality and doesn't encourage having a... More

Visited this pub after a long walk, dripping wet and muddy but the landlord didn't mind and was very happy and welcoming. Good local pub. Nice pint of IPA, nice price too 😀

We knew that our stay at the Woodroffe wouldn't be luxurious as we hadn't paid very much money for it. The car park was absolutely fine with more than enough room. We approached the bar about checking in and were then taken to our rooms. We were actually taken to the outside of the pub and up some external stairs... More

Friendly village pub which welcomes muddy boots and dogs and serves good beers. Has a lovely Chinese restaurant at the back

This is one of our local pubs and one which is highly endorsed! I have read several reviews and an stunned at some of the negative comments. Each pub in the village offers different things. The Woodruffe is an amazing friendly and reasonably priced pub. I go in most weeks and have never encountered any swearing etc just good old... More

With 5 Staff and a dozen kids in tow needing a quick Hot chocolate before back to the youth hostel, i popped in to see if they would/could accommodate this. The idea of a bus load of kids at 8pm for hot chocolates seemed perfectly normal for them. They had to go across the road to get the chocolate and... More

Dropped in during a walk for a pint. Pretty busy around Saturday tea time. Only had a drink and have to say my 'Speckled Hen' was 'spot on' so for anyone that likes there real ales, I'd give this a visit. Must be an ok pub as quite a few 'locals' were in there too.
