A real pity because this place would do really well with just a simple change in attitude of the staff/owner. Immediately on entering and approaching the ordering desk there was no welcoming smile, just a cold atmosphere that made you feel like a hindrance. To...More

My wife and I are lucky to live in the Peak District and regularly enjoy coffee and cakes in local cafes. We decided to try this cafe for the first time and ordered coffee with fruit scones and butter only. We were flabbergasted to find...More

Popped in on the off chance on a sunday. Brilliant place, lovely cheese scones. Wish we had a dog to bring with us. If you have a dog and wanting dog friendly this is the place. Will come back for sure.

Had a lovely lunch with my family yesterday. The ploughman's is to be highly recommended, and the coffee's were very good also. Our children enjoyed a home made scone each, and the milkshakes were a big hit too. Good place to visit, I suspect difficult...More

I often travel 25 miles on my motorcycle for breakfast at the Vanilla Kitchen and am always made very welcome. I have found the lady proprietor and all the staff to be very welcoming and friendly and the food is excellent.

What a shame this 'lady' runs this place, very very rude and arrogant, will never go again whilst she's there! Could be a gold mine, feel very sorry for her staff.

Hi, This was our first visit so don't know if the ownership has changed. However, there was a dog sitting at the next table (well, under it), and there was a specials board for hikers and bikers so I would assume that they... More
