Went with family and as part of a Geocaching event to meet others. Had a meal which was definately worth the money, 2 meals for £10. Except for not feeling well at the time (nothing to do with the place) the staff were friendly and had some hot drinks which seemed to go towards a charity they were raising for.... More

Visited this pub once or twice before to see live bands but never ordered a bar meal, and were we surprised, I ordered a Chicken Parmo and a Gammon Steak, both with home cooked chips and the trimmings and man size portions, with good beer and friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere what more would you want, and to top... Turned up mid afternoon on a Sunday with three children and they couldn't have been more welcoming. Lunch was roast beef and/or roast pork. We all had the beef and portion sizes were good and the meat really tender. All the trimmings were great and it was served with lashings of gravy. Yum!

We visited this little pub with some friends who were staying near by. A nice pleasant surprise, staff and customers very welcoming and food very tasty. Our well behaved dog was allowed in as well .... bonus.

This lovely pub serves delicious home made food. The Sunday roast comes with REAL Yorkshire puddings, just like your mum used to make. The portions are man size and it's great value. The staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

This is one of the most welcoming places we have visited. With it's lovely open fire, large portions of superb food, friendly staff and regulars what more could one want. Overall a charming and delightful country inn.

Popped in to what appeared to be a lovely quaint country pub just wanted a pub sandwich rather than a big meal due to the time of day. There were no sandwiches on the menu but toasties, cheesy chips and jacket potatoes were. When we asked about the available fillings for the jacket potatoes, there was some what a look... More

Service was great, very accommodating. Food was ok but had small menu. There was approximately 20 flies in the main seating area who were very keen on our food! This made the meal pretty unpleasant!
