Went in for dinner following a long journey northwards! The service was welcoming and the food was of good quality (the lamb was delicious!). I would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Party of nine had a really great meal for a birthday celebration, excellent food and very good service despite the restaurant being very full and busy . It was made extra special by the young man playing the guitar and singing , he was super.

Arrived on a cold and overcast day to lovely log fires, a large table in a gorgeous room with plenty of natural light. This place has a really nice feel to it and would be a stunning wedding venue. Friendly, smartly dressed staff who were keen to please without being overly fussy. Liked the fact that menu had plenty of... More

Visited on a Tuesday evening and the place is a like a 'Tardis'... It's spacious and plush inside. Lovely ambience, nice service and great food.. Quantity and quality are up there. Had the olive and feta nibbles with bread followed by Halibut with parmesan and truffle fries. Delicious!! Was going to miss the desserts but sticky toffee pudding with cinder... More

This is a great choice for food, popular and busy, but comfortable, with a good atmosphere and plenty of space. Service is smart and friendly. It's a good choice for families and during our visit offered a choice of dishes for £7 each as long as you order before 6.45PM. The beer, such as Tim Taylor's Boltmaker at £3.60 a... More

Stayed on Saturday 11 February 2017 to celebrate a 40th birthday party. To cut it short the the room was lovely couldn't fault it but the breakfast was very poor.
