This is a fantastic stop to grab breakfast or lunch! The food is great and it is wonderful to have gluten free options! I am very grateful to the friendly staff be able to also charge my phone - being a solo traveller it’s really...important to be able to have access to power without feeling like I need permission or made to feel guilty, unlike the neighbouring business (shell). Thanks!More

We stopped at the Miners Cafe out of the blue during our trip on the David Thompson Highway. We expected nothing and found this pearl of a small restaurant. We had two slices of fantastic pie, a tea and a lemonade. Wonderful. If you are...in the near area, go and have a rest there! We would come here again anytime.More

Stopped for lunch mid week. Place was busy but servers were very friendly, efficient. mom ordered pizza and they told us how long it would take and they were exactly right. I had cabbage roll soup and it was fabulous. The pie was described by...many before and they were correct. Pie and ice cream the best. I had gluten free and you could not tell it wasn't the real thing. overall the best experience.More

Driving on highway 11 from the mountains back towards Edmonton, we were looking for a place to have breakfast and came upon the Miners Cafe in Nordegg. We ordered lattes, a breakfast wrap and a breakfast croissant sandwich. All were delicious and good value. The...place is open and airy with high ceilings and lots of windows. It’s very clean (the cafe and the bathrooms too) with cute tables and chairs and the staff are very friendly. Overall a wonderful experience. We will be back someday to try some of the other items on their menu. They have soups and sandwiches and lots of different pies and other desserts, all homemade.More

Everything else was great, but the pie! Divine! We ended up buying way too much pie and eating way too much pie.

Great gem in Nordegg. Stopped for a quick lunch. The staff were very friendly. Enjoyed cabbage roll soup (tasty- had a bit of a bite), grilled cheese (just the right combination of cheese and bread) finished off with gluten free bumble berry pie with ice...cream (they warmed it for us). This will be one of our regular stops as we pass by on the way to the mountains. Thank you)More

We had lunch at the Miner's Cafe and we were overall impressed. I had the turkey melt; it was not real roast turkey but cold cuts. It was delicious but for almost $14.00 it was somewhat sparse on the filling and only accompanied by a...handful of potato chips. We shared a mushroom soup which was so tasty and banana cream pie. The banana cream pie was somewhat meh; the custard was greyish and thin with the canned whipped cream topping melting as we ate it. . The fruit pies are what to go for; we purchased a whole frozen bumbleberry to bake at our self-catering accommodations and it was amazing. This place is worth a stop if you're in the area. The locals we chatted with recommended the Egg Salad sandwich, we'll have to try that next time! Fall hours are in place and I do believe they will be closed sometime in October? Best to phone for hours before you go.More

We ate at this cafe for lunch. The setup was in an old schoolhouse and was well laid out for social distancing. There were areas to eat inside and outside and were spaced out very well. The food was well done and fresh. Overall, well...executed. There is a gift shop onsite if you wanted to look around before your food arrived or after.More
