The place is the first one from the train or skyrail. Pretty crowded so you will need to wait . The doughnuts were good. The fresh juices might not be fresh since I could see canned fruits and other refrigerated juices being used. Will probably give it a miss if I'm looking for a juice or smoothie

Passing through, looking for something refreshing for our kiddos. Our son, who has a dairy allergy was bummed to find out their smoothies are made with dairy, until the manager/owner(?) offered to make one with soy. Then later, after being unable to obtain water to refill our bottles and not pay $3 each, offered to fill ours with cold water... More

Burgers weren't too bad but customer service was very poor. You would expect at a touristy town people would be nicer.

I went up to Kuranda with a friend for their festival on the weekend just gone. As we were getting back in the car I went to grab a few bottles of water for the drive home from the Windmill Cafe. Chatting with the guy behind the counter and he asked me what brought me to Kuranda and I said... More

I visit Kuranda reasonably regularly with relatives from overseas and interstate. I made the mistake of going to this Café on my most recent visit - and will never make that mistake again. Orders were incorrectly delivered. Staff were both rude and dismissive and we were all left to feel as if we should have been thankful for being allowed... More

After a lovely walk through Kuranda we decided to stop at the Windmill Cafe for a morning cuppa including a bite to eat. We were very disappointed when a tea arrived in a half filled cup, with a teabag that I can purchase at Coles or Woolies. Certainly not worth the money. We were even more disappointed when a donut... Came of the Cable car and it was morning Tea. Stopped here as it was the first place you come too. Served quick and the coffees and cake came out quickly. BRING CASH. Everything in Kurunda is Cash so they don't have to declare it. Very sneaky and hate that they get away with it. Staff seemed to be all... More

Stopped here on our way back to the train station after having to leave a disappointing lunch elsewhere. There was plenty of seating, it was clean and we were served quickly. With a nice range of ice cream flavours to choose from at reasonable prices it was a nice end to our visit to Kuranda.
