The food was very good, the staff friendly. So sad that this cafe was lost to the fire that consumed the Waltzing Matilda Centre.

Great morning tea stop. Customers need to get in early or run the risk of missing out on all the choice cakes or raps and early lunch foods. Ice creams were a treat for the kids.

The Coolabah Cafe was definitely my preferred choice for lunch in Winton - the food was fresh, tasty and always hit the spot. Unfortunately the Coolabah Cafe was destroyed in a recent fire (mid June 2015) however I have no doubt when the Matilda Centre and Coolabah Cafe are rebuilt that the food will be just as good, if not... Deliberately called in for a second time as the food is amazing! They will make you whatever you like! I'm vegetarian, so it was no hassle for them to make me lunch! Love Winton! Would loved to have stayed longer but I was on my way to Darwin and needed to move on!

The food here is excellent, especially the caramel malted milkshakes. The service is friendly and you can duck out of the museum and have a meal then go back.

We caught the bus from cloncurry to longreach and it included a lunch stop in winton. To my surprise it was the freshest ingredients so flavorful. My wife had a salad roll and the ingredients were all sliced fresh they weren't just sitting aroundl like in many places. The service was quick and friendly well worth a stop.

Great little cafe located inside the Waltzing Matilda Centre. Good to have a meal with good fresh produce. Service is so quick and the meals are so large. Best little cafe in down town Winton. They must be doing something good, when all the tour buses also stop in. Highly recommended.

We stopped in for lunch here while visiting the Waltzing Matilda Centre. A great little café located next to the Visitor Centre and the entry to the museum. We had some sandwiches for lunch which very fresh and tasty and a couple of coffee's. They also provide a range of cakes and pies. A perfect stopover to re-fuel and then... More

The food here is just as good as any capital city café. And the coffee ditto. Merlo coffee. Cakes, pies, sandwiches etc etc. Choices to suit you all. So fresh. Truly wonderful café with a great atmosphere. Well done one and all.
