This one is special. Fantastic location right on Lake Barrine with panoramic views. Coffee is excellent. Scones with jam and cream were wonderful. Prices are reasonable (my cup of coffee and scones with jam and cream was just $10). The girl who served me was friendly and actually made conversation. Plenty of tourist information outside as well. Highly recommended.

Cairns Local, we go to the tea house fairly regularly, I would recommend the Devonshire tea, very nice scenery and the climate is just that little bit cooler. The Lake itself is beautiful, as is lake Eacham.

We had walked around the lake, before deciding to pop in for a casual lunch. There was a good selection of café food and we both opted for a club sandwich, which was lovely. They are licenced, but we had Bundaberg LLBs. We grabbed a seat on the balcony (effectively first floor level) from where there are lovely views across... More

The only man made structure on the lovely blue Lake Barrine is an old tea room that advertises traditional award winning Devonshire cream teas. It was only 11 am but we sat in the crystal clear sunshine on the stunning veranda and ordered one. It was worth the ten dollars just to linger in that magical location but the Devonshire... More

Went there today and it was so relaxing sitting on the deck overlooking the lake and watching the ducks etc.

The perfect old school place to take your friends to experience the crater lakes. The best scones and a great menu too. Must do is a boat tour. My friends absolutely loved it after our rainy car trip through the rainforest.

We visited boxing day morning for coffee milkshakes & scones. From the moment we got there we were greeted with lovely service. Despite it being quite busy, our coffee milkshakes & scones came very quickly. The man who bought them to our table was also happy to take our picture for us. Oh we also ordered a bowl of hotchips... We visited this very pleasant cafe/restaurant on a drive across the Atherton Tablelands. Went for the Devonshire Tea and a slice of their cheesecake. Both were generous serves and tasted delicious. Need to keep your eyes open when on the road as there are no signs for the restaurant and only very small signs to the lake, but it is... More

One of the first places we visited on our trip around Queensland, bizarrely had a Devonshire cream tea. The tea was fantastic, sat on a terrace overlooking a beautiful lake, it is set in lovely gardens which we wandered around afterwards. From the road you would not give it a second glance - definitely worth a visit and really lovely... More
