The Flying Fig is a nicely appointed bar/restaurant in the lively West Side market area. Out server was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our appetizers of calamari and bacon wrapped dates were very tasty, and the burgers we both had were out of this world, made with the finest meat. More expensive than your average burger, but so worth it!

The burger at Flying Fig is truly the best in Cleveland. Cooked perfectly, homemade aioli, bacon and cheese. Nice brioche bun and a side of pickles and homemade ketchup for the outstanding french fries. They use Pope's Bloody Mary Mix and make a wonderful drink. The service is excellent and the interior is very nice too.

I'd not long had dinner so couldn't eat here - but smelled great! The drinks selection was decent and not badly priced for the area. The barman was chatty and all the waiting staff were cheerful. I'd pop back for food if I was in Cleveland long enough!

I can always count on inventive in-season vegetarian fare here. Most recently had a rich squash dish. In the past had fantastic asparagus dishes. My go-to restaurant in Ohio City.

Stopped in the Flying Fig with friends after an event at the Wolstein Center, and had a delicious sandwich and butternut squash soup. Great food, great service. I will go back.

Post Cleveland Indians 2nd win, stopped by for dinner for 4 of us. Late night, post ballpark snacks decided to share appetizers and the big ribeye steak dinner. Appetizers- Olives great, toast great. Dinner- Steak dinner not so much. Frustration: Wait staff asked what cook level, all said without hesitation medium rare. A loooong time later, dinner arrived, sadly medium... More

This is definitely the friendliest restaurant I have visited in the last year anywhere around the country. Superb modern flare on all the food and a clean, kind and romantic atmosphere.

Very good food. Nice historical area right across from Great Lakes Brewing and 1/2 block from west side market.
