Was here last week and was definitely impressed. Nice, local restaurant that is not fancy, but has great food, bar, and character. Recommend trying it out -- I'll definitely be back if in the area.

Primo Vino isnt flashy or fancy. It is full of nice people, Italian staples, and a great bar. Staff is always very nice every time I have been. Also a great place to rent out for functions. They make their own mozzarella for their appetizers. They also have these beans on the appetizer menu that I have been searching for... More

Do yourself a favor and okay the warning signs the place is empty and a quick look shows a stack of microwaves. Go elsewhere as there are 20 places with in a stones throw. Staff is nice enough other then telling us "we have always microwaved it" pasta was below spaghetti o's I'm no chef or foodie but I can... More

You must be able to do steps as Primo is like going into the celler of a winery. Brick walls and large bar with many of the finest Italian wines. Tables with red linen table clothes, and of course olive oil, grated cheese and red hot pepper to dip bread if you so choose. Great homemade salids with dandelion greens,... More

I ate here many times. Both as part of a small party and in a large group. The food was always great. The staff were top notch. It had a New York vibe being situated in the basement. As you desended the staircase and the dining room opened up to your view it set the mood for a memorable experience.... More

Had to go there before it closes and you should as well.Stuffed mushrooms and Barolo is a great combo.Everything is consistently great.Neighborhood atmosphere with attentive staff. This is a place where everyone feels free to talk with everyone else. To end the meal who else will serve you Tiramasu and Gelato.

Went to Primo Vino with a large group (military reunion). Some of the best Italian food I have had anywhere. Service was very good and if you are in Cleveland take time to check it out.

As you walk the streets of Little Italy you are bombarded with an array of culinary choices. These include classic Italian restaurants, pizza shops and bakeries. While the choices are plentiful, one place that stands out it Primo Vino. Or should I say, stands under. Upon entering the restaurant you decide a flight of stairs to a basement level dining... Place was packed during the feast but the food was still excellent. I had very good lasagna. Previous visits were also great. It is fun to go down to the basement and go back in time at primo vino.

My family and I went there yesterday for the Italian Fest. A horrible experience. I am from Italy, and I wanted to try authentic Italian food in Little Italy. We ordered veal, speghetti, lasagna. The veal was cold and covered with a jar of tomato sauce, the pasta was overcooked and also covered with garlic tomato sauce, and the lasagna... More
