Business appears to be Closed not sure if it permanent or what as the electric is on but has been closed and locked up every time I've gone by the past two months

Nothing fancy goin' on here but down-home cookin' and eatin'. Breakfast is king here, in my opinion, but if you want real fried chicken or meatloaf and mashed potatoes, this is the place.
I took my daughter here a few weeks ago. The diner still has the old time look and feel Breakfast was excellent, just like it hs been for the last 40 yerars!

A great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Air conditioned in the summer, windows open at times for a breeze of fresh air. The black and white checkerboard walls, traditional counter and stools, and comfort food make this a must.
I try to patronize Lakewood businesses but will NEVER go to John's Diner again. I don't know if it was a rotten potato in my hash browns or a scouring pad that they used on the grill. I almost puked on their counter.
It's a diner...an old diner. You come here for good diner food, large portions, and very cheap prices. We come for the breakfasts and we return for the breakfasts. LOTS of options, friendly "seasoned citizen" waitresses, in a converted train car. You don't come here...More

I had a very nice experience with my family. It is a genuine small simple diner with cheap food. My mom went twice during her stay and the staff not only remembered her but remembered she liked the milk shake and started getting it ready...More
