A great local franchise. The food selection is great. Very friendly staff and quick service, even when crowded.

I frequent this place as it is convenient for me. It used to be a great casual dining spot, however, things have drastically gone downhill. They are constantly changing the menu, which might be good for new choices but the new choices haven't been good ones:-( The older menu was much higher quality and quanities were great as well. Every... More

Good food and moderate prices. This original location has lots of character, located in the German Village of Columbus

Had a wonderful lunch and then tried their new dessert, the Pretzel Sundae. Soft pretzels with cinnamon sugar and velvet ice cream drizzled with caramel and chocolate. Have this and then go strolling in the German Village.

This is where Max and Erma's first opened and the location is great. Some of the best burgers and salads you'll find.

We love the Great tortilla soup at this original Max and Erma. It's a great location in Germantown! The portions are good sized, so we normally split our meal. So if the wait is too long at schmitt's...max and erma's is a great alternative

Had dinner here with four other friends. They had a very good beer selection (German village) totally great service and very nice food. The one thing would be wheelchair access, otherwise go try it, why not!

This is the Best of all the Max & Ermas...courteous staff and FRESH burgers/cuisine...an old style smaller (quaint) restaurant in German Village, in the heart of coffee shops, candy and ice cream shops...you will love it!

First time ever dining at this restaurant. It is located in German Village of Columbus in a quaint, old building that is reminiscent of the yesteryear era. Our server (Eric) took care of us with a smile, energy and efficiency. He was what every server should be.......friendly, articulate and (did I say efficient?). The cheeseburger was the best we've ever... More

Description
In 1972, Max & Erma created a fun, unique restaurant so friends and family can gather for good times and a great meal, and decorated it with eclectic artifacts and local paraphernalia. Since that day, we've been committed to providing our guests with irresistible heartland classics and friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere the whole neighborhood can enjoy. We've grown over the years, but always remain true to what makes us successful - delivering a great memorable experience so that every guest leaves with a smile. After all, Max & Erma wouldn't have it any other way.
