Stopped in here around 6pm on a Friday night just before "the rush". Sat all 7 of us with another couple at a table...4 kids in our party, mind you. We were promptly attended to, drink orders were taken, and started our meal about 5 mins later. Our "cook" was great with the kids. Food was delicious, service was superb,... More

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the food here, however, unless you're there with your entire family, you WILL be squished next to strangers...10-11 adults per table! We're NOT children, so this many adults at one table is just plain sardines in a can. You can forget a date nite with your spouse when you're this close to strangers. Lol Hope... More

Great food and service as always! We made reservations for the evening two days in advance but know if an opening comes up they allow walk-ins. You'll never leave hungry.

We visit HOJ a couple times a month. Its my husband & I's favorite. Lunch is very affordable, Dinner is more expensive. We order the imperial feast which differs from lunch to dinner.. includes seafood, steak & chicken, the egg yolk doesn't look apealing but its a must! Chefs are wonderful :) Atmosphere is great!!

Stopped here for lunch on a recent trip to Columbus. The wait wasn't to bad even though they were extremely busy. The atmosphere was good and the food was delicious. Our chef wasn't as entertaining as some of the others but we had a good time.

The food was great, Our cook was absolutely amazing & entertaining .. but we made a Reservation through OpenTable.com and it was not honored. Just be aware that if you make a reservation through Open Table's website for House of Japan, it's actually more of a "Call Ahead Seating". (There's a difference!) When we arrived for our 7pm Reservation, we... More

Had a good meal here. I ate the steak and shrimp. Service was ok and we had a solid chef. You won't leave hungry. The prices are normal for a hibachi grill. I've ate at a handful of restaurants in the vicinity and this has been the best meal so far.

I always enjoy this restaurant, it is fun to watch (chef?) cook food right in front of you. It is live entertainment.
