Have visited Agios Stefanos for last three years each October when resort is relatively quiet. This is the most traditional of the tavernas in the village with a short menu of exclusively Greek/Corfiot dishes. Particular highlights are the Bekri Meze, Tsigarelli, Rabbit Stifado, Roast Lamb...More

We live on the island and had been past this restaurant very many times but usually on the way to nearby Kerasia. On this occasion, we took my cousins, who had come for a short visit, on a tour of the north of the island....More

Lovely little Taverna, Nikos, one of the staff, looked after us very well, we to Corfu went off season, so the bay was very quiet. they were the only ones open. lovely home cooked food, good wine, amazing views. Amazing in general

We decided on this place because it was open for an early dinner. It was so good we went back twice during our holiday. They were welcoming and friendly. Very accommodating to a party with ages ranging from 3 to 65. The kids got to...More

Lovely setting, nice food, however spoiled by the owner and staff being far too pushy and overbearing. A plate of fish that we had not ordered appeared on the table, we told the waiter to take it back as we did not want it nor...More

Great location, but the food is mediocre compared to others nearby and the staff are far too pushy. Overpriced and also try to charge you for things not ordered.

You are guaranteed a great meal and a good time with Christos and Nikos at the fagopotion. The food is excellent, I recommend the special lamb shank they serve on Sunday and the stifado. The meat is just melt in the mouth. My mum loved...More

Arrived at our villa midday after a very early start from UK and went down to the village for a light lunch. Bamboozled by offers from the Patron , we both basically realised what he was up to but too weary to stop him in...More

The most accomplished of the waterside tavernas here, Fagopotion has an enviable reputation for its traditional recipes, fresh wild fish caught around the Diapóndia islets and fair prices given a location in the heart of posh ‘Kensington-on-Sea’. Signature dishes include fluffy, non-greasy three-cheese saganáki, succulent, pork-based bekrí mezé, baby squid in late spring, rabbit stew, chard-based tsigarélli (versus the usual wild greens) and melt-in-the-mouth octopus (Christos secret is blanching prior to grilling). Orange cake on the house for dessert. As recommended by Telegraph Travel in 2012....
