We have been to Stationen several times and just looove the atmosphere, the amazing food and the excellent service. Our all time favorite chef is STORM, who always gives the best service and makes fantastic food. His mum must be really proud :) Thanks, we'll...be back :)More

Clean and big central pub to have a bite without breaking the bank. We all went for the fish and chips and it was ok. The services was great, and they even have the kids ice lollies for dessert for free which was a nice...touch and they enjoyed despite de -9°! I'd recommend to grab something quick on a budget with friendly staff.More

Popped in there for lunch. Interior looks inviting. More like a Gastro Pub. We both ordered a shrimp sandwich which was fantastic. good selection of drinks. Wasn't that busy but a good place to pop in for a drink or a quick snack.

Stationen Restaurant is the right place for a good meal and a local beer after a long hike. Locals and travelers meet here in a cozy environment. After a good meal and interesting conversations you are ready for more adventures.

Located in the centre of Longyearbyen, Stationen is an Arctic attempt at recreating the concept of the pub restaurant－at least that is my impression from a British perspective. I had wanted to try proper whale meat for several years, and my birthday was a great...opportunity for doing do. We therefore both had a whale steak, complemented with a bottle of wine. It was interesting but nice; tasted rather different from the pilot whale I had in the Faroes some years ago. The waiters were perfectly all-right and the food did not take over-long to arrive. Spitsbergen prices are to be expected, but on the whole, it was an evening well spent. If ever I am back up there, I should not mind returning to Stationen.More

Great refuelling station Stationen is a no frills pub-restaurant offering an excellent and varied menu of grills, burgers and other classics. The bar ‘proper’, the Karlsberger Pub, is a separate unit in the same building, whilst the restaurant offers full waiter service, a lively atmosphere...and good food. My only criticism is that there is little on offer for vegetarians, the veggieburger at the bottom of the menu looking a bit like a tokenistic afterthought. I took the fish and chips instead, which was presented very much in the British tradition. It was filling enough for me, but perhaps the portion size would not quite satisfy large appetites: the accompaniments, in particular – coleslaw, pea puree and remoulade, which in Britain would be called tartare sauce – were a little on the paltry side. Nevertheless the local beers on offer are excellent, and the service was prompt and friendly, even on a busy night. For a village in an arctic wilderness half way from the north coast to the pole this is a great refuelling station.More

Restaurant in a well established location in the Lompen Centre, though I think has taken over from a Thai restaurant that was there in my last visit 3 years ago. A rather 'standard' menu of steaks (including whale steak!), burgers, fish, but generous and tasty...portions, and good sized salads too. Nice deserts and reasonable prices for Longyearbyen.More

If you've ever walked around Longyearbyen center you'd have smelt the amazing food smells coming out this place. Beautifully decorated surroundings, loosly attached to the shopping centre. I went for the whale steak as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It was absolutely beautiful. The wine complimented it...perfectly also. Highly recommended!More

Bill was loaded with an item that we had not ordered or received. This seems to be a standard feature in Longyearbyen as it is the second evening in a row where we have had the same problem - the previous evening at a different...restaurant. You are strongly advised to check every item on the bill. We didn’t leave a tip as a consequence of the loaded bill and abysmal service. Food was good though.More

Convenient place to grab a bite while visiting the town for a few hours. Good french fries and burger. Service was quite slow the first time we were there, as the place was packed and they were short staffed. Second time very quick and the...server was nice to split up our shared food which was very helpful !! Would definitely go again !More

I had the best Iberico secreto I have ever tried before! Warm, relaxed atmosphere! Good service! Certainly deserves the place on my "Come back" list :-)
