We had been were when it first opened and it was lovely. However, today we went back and thought we were taking a chance because between 1.00 and 2.00 you were lucky to get a seat. But we were shocked as just three tables had customers. We thought we would try a ploughmans as we had one here some time... More

We are lucky enough to live near Southill Tea Rooms and love popping in for a bite to eat. I am Gluten free, dairy free and happy that they offer delicious cakes, bread etc. Would recommend this place to all my friends. The staff are really lovely, its a great place to relax and unwind with friends and family :-)

We visited this quaint old-fashioned tearoom in the village of Southill for the first time and were made to feel very welcome by the lovely ladies working there, who were so friendly and helpful. The tearoom is very small and has a tiny village store and there are not that many tables. However, the tables were beautifully laid with embroidered... More

I was taken to the Tea Rooms for a birthday tea, 4 mature ladies. Great little gem, tucked away in a Bedfordshire village. Clean, comfortable, with cheerful staff with beautiful food served on bone china. We had a set cream tea, but hot food is also served. Well worth a visit.

Lovely meal in the garden - birds singing - flowers blooming. Waited a while to get served then realised you have to order inside. No problem though as service etc was good.

It's nice to know some things don't change. This is one place where we can be sure to get a nice pot of tea, cake or a quick lunchtime meal. Always a pleasure to come here.

My husband and I visited here with our dog today. We were on a dog walk and stumbled upon it, seeing there were other dogs in the garden we thought we'd give it a try as it's sometimes hard to find nice dog friendly places! We sat outside in the sunshine and ordered freshly made sandwiches: coronation chicken baguette and... More

We were made very welcome and our order was taken promptly. Our jacket potatoes were absolutely delicious, one of the best I have ever had! Lovely vintage crockery and surroundings. My only disappointment was the cakes, we went for scones with jam and cream. Wasn't enough cream for me, found the scone very dry and difficult to swallow. My advice... More

Luckily I had booked a table as the tea rooms were very busy. This pretty, vintage inspired village eaterie looks as if it has been taken out of a Home and Garden magazine! This was a nostalgic surprise trip for my Mum. We sat in a small nook surrounded by books and cushions......lovely. Service was friendly and first class. Food... More

The tea room used to be the Southill Post Office until it was closed down a few years ago. It is a jewel. We pride ourselves on home baked cakes and scones and hope that you enjoy them just as much as we do.
