We visited for Sunday lunch. The pub is under new management. The 3 course meal is excellent value. The food we had was delicious. My only grumble is I am vegetarian, and didn’t fancy a pasta main dish on a Sunday Dinner. I chose 2...starters instead. Please consider a nut roast Sunday lunch 🤞😋 We will recommend to our friends & family 🌸More

We stayed 3 nights at the Kings Arms and ate in the restaurant every night. The staff are very friendly and there was a lively atmosphere. They have a small menu but cover a wide range of pub food: Pie, burger, fish and chips, curry,...Mexican etc. Everything is well cooked and presented and we enjoyed everything we had. They do a prawn cocktail in a wineglass straight out of the 1970s, but do it really well! There are veggie options but not vegan and the addition of a really good salad would give it 5 stars. We highly recommend this good value restaurant.More

Pre cooked mussels which were dry and not heated through with some being almost cold. Not knowing how long since the mussels had been cooked nor how they had been kept before being served is worrying. The sauce was piping hot however it’s obvious the...elements of the dish had not been cooked together when one half of the mussel shell is hot and the other is cold. Indicative of microwave reheating done badly.More

Our walking group of 16 people stayed at the Kings Arms for the weekend, with some of us accommodated in the hotel and some in the converted barn to the rear. Landlord and landlady Neil and Ann and all their staff were excellent throughout our...stay. Rooms were fine, especially in the barn, food good and plentiful and service spot on. The bar had six different real ales on for thirsty types like us and the locals were very friendly. This was a proper pub that oozed character and individuality, a far cry from the blandness of the big chain hotels and pubs. Thank you Neil, Ann and staff for making our weekend so memorable.More

This was our third visit to the Kings Arms and our second for Sunday Lunch. Good traditional Roast .....choice of two meats, a lighter version of either or a two meat roast. We chose one roast beef and one light roast pork. Both served with...2 fresh veg, roast potatoes and parsnips, large Yorkshire Pudding and gravy. The meals arrived freshly prepared, hot and were both really excellent quality and plentiful. No room left to sample one of the wide range of desserts!More

Stayed here for a night a month ago. All good. Very friendly welcome. Really nice peaceful quiet room. Spotlessly clean. Great view from the window over to the Lakes hills. Really good breakfast. Good beer. All good. I'd go again.

The King's Arms own website says that the hotel is dog friendly. You could always confirm this when you call to make a booking.
