Enjoyed a very pleasant meal at The Anchor. First-rate and friendly atmosphere, with the obligatory Adnams beer. The quality of the food was excellent - both main and dessert courses!

We stayed in one of the cabins, which were very clean and had everything you needed. All staff were very friendly and helpful and food was lovely. Would defiantly stay again x

Went out to dinner with friends. We had fish soup which I enjoyed. I believe everyone liked their meal. Service was good and friendly. Lacked spark, but no real concerns.

We also had Chocolate fondant and poached pear with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. The chocolate fondant was a little under cooked as some of the chocolate was not totally melted, however the flavour was great. The poached pear was perfect and the vanilla ice cream compliments to a T!!

We were a group of 14 and had a super evening here between Christmas and New Year. Lovely warm, inviting informal space but serving some delicious dishes. Gorgeous warm bread. Loved my seafood casserole. Steak was apparently excellent and oysters all got the thumbs up. My 9 year old loved her kids spaghetti bolognaise. Service was super- I know big... More

Ate here yesterday, for the first time in years and was very impressed. Staff friendly and attentive, and a very nice ambience in the restaurant. My mum and I both had the same started. Halloumi Fries and a chilli dressing. Although simple, the starter was really tasty, and the batter of the halloumi fries wasn't greasy, but nice and crunchy.... More

Food was of a good quality and variety although a little pricey. Charged £3.50 for additional bread. The fish cake was good but comes with the smallest roast potatoes you might see anywhere.

Had another lovely lunch here. Menu is varied with some lovely combinations to try. Nice selection of wine and although pricey, its what you expect in this area!! Service was friendly and attentive.
