Lovely food, breakfast lunch and dinner are all a treat. I would recommend this restaurant to top chefs and foodies as it is something not to miss!

Awful. My wife and I are both allergic to seafood. We ordered 2 dishes one with crab and one with mussels which they agreed to remove. Both dishes came with the shellfish which my wife discovered when she ate a mussel. Very worried. And breakfast was diabolical. Avoid

It's not often I'm rendered speechless by anything but The Orangery managed it. The room is lovely; the service slow. We eventually ordered; my wife asked for the only vegetarian main course they offer not to have the goat's cheese on it that every restaurant seems to assume that vegetarians want. They don't, by the way. What eventually emerged was... More

A disappointing evening, we had to wait over 10 minutes at an empty bar to be served an arrival drink. They had been pre warned of 2 dietary requirements but had very limited options available and no indication on the menu as to what was gluten free or vegetarian/ dairy free. Service was slow, we waited an hour before being... More

Menu choice is good. Everything seems to be made on site. The service is attentive but not intrusive. It's good value for money and a lovely experience

We stayed here for a night and it was superb - clean, comfortable room with stunning view of the gardens which kept animals. Food was delicious, would definitely recommend. We've come back here for lunches as we live locally.

The orangery is the center piece of the Powder Mills hotel. The menus are delicious, served with very high professionalism and preciosion.

On a preliminary visit we saw the dining room and venue - knew we'd have to book a table for this place! Or not... The orangery dining room is a beautiful space and had lovely fresh flowers. Three tables were occupied when we made our entrance, the welcome was discreet and the menu enticing. Our expectations were soon to be... More

A full English breakfast here is cooked to order and is nice, if expensive. I ate dinner one night and was underwhelmed. Piece of beef I had ( a "filet" of beef ordered medium) came out very, very well done. Still tasted fine so I did not complain. The peas in the meal were crunchy????? Peas aren't supposed to crunch.

A beautiful room in a pretty hotel. The menu is good on the face of it , but the food is not up to expectations, flavoursvae confused, what you expect to be warm salad was part ice cold and oily, part warm, Pork was tough and rather tasteless, chicken was tasty and well cooked but accompanied by very nasty tasting gravy, Staff... Thank you for your review, we are sorry the menu did not meet your expectation, however we feel it necessary to clarify some of the points raised in your review. We always make our own stock to make a demi glace and then infuse it with Thyme or Rosemary or Port. Our food and menu has proved very popular with... More
