Thanks for letting us know Bernard. We are sorry you didn't receive a warm welcome as we can assure you that is not the usual protocol here at the Wheatsheaf Inn. Following feedback from our customers we shaped our menu around simple home made pub...More

We sometimes call in for a quick drink before dining elsewhere in Little Common. The staff are friendly and the surroundings pleasant with usually a nice real fire. There is sometimes a strange smell as you first walk in ?? We always think that the...More

This was a last minute booking and we were not disappointed. Extremely friendly staff. Lovely setting with a comfortable feel. We all had roast dinners and the food was great with plenty of meat (from local butcher across the road) and individual bowls of fresh...More

Having previously lived near the Wheatsheaf for 30 years, we decided to try its latest incarnation whilst visiting the area. Big mistake. First menu choice for my husband was Scampi "Sorry we haven't got any". Second choice was King Prawn Salad. I chose vegetarian chilli....More

On the two occasions I have visited The Wheatsheaf, I was struck by how friendly and welcoming the staff are. It was also a pleasure to be able to dine and talk without struggling to hear or be heard.

OK for basic pub grub! Limited menu but freshly cooked. OK for an occasional visit and for a drink. Ambiance leaves a little to be desired but reasonably priced. Great outdoor garden with play area for kids.

Hi all. Yes we do allow dogs, we love dogs. They're welcome in the pub in the bar and side room and outside and we have some doggy treats available too. The only place we restrict them is in the restaurant. Thanks
