Tried to get into other pubs for a Saturday lunch and managed to get in at the Black Horse. Good selection of food for all of our tastes and appetites. Got served quickly even though you could see they were busy. Arrived quickly and good size portions. Would definitely recommend and certainly return. Would advise to book if wanting food... More

The last time we visited the Black Horse was many years ago when the children were small and we had many pleasant evenings in the pub garden. We were taken back by our son for a family meal and he had not realised that this was the same place. The old pub is now a Gastro Pub converted to look... More

this is an up date to my review on New Years Eve. After receiving vouchers from HEad Office for the awful New Years evening meal and experience we decided thatwe would go back as they now have a new holding manager called Lee. Lovelyyoung lady who actually called me to discuss my complaints and assured me that she was working... More

We did not book and wanted a table for 4. We were seated quickly. However, there were no details on the menu of what food was gluten free, when we asked the waitress she was very impatient but went off & came back with a load of sheets of paper stapled together, which had food stuck & smeared all over... Chose this pub with friends as a halfway point to meet. On arrival on a Friday evening, the pub area was very busy but the staff were efficient and friendly. We were then shown to our table and although the restaurant area was busy, it never felt crowded. Our waitress was charming and, although the menu was the usual Vintage... More

I love the feel of this pub/ restaurant. I have been going for many years but I have noticed that my last 3 visits have left me feeling disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff and then told that two dishes weren't available that evening, this was a Friday night when the restaurant is getting towards its busiest part of... More

We have been to the Black Horse on a number of occasions and went with friends two weeks ago on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was very busy, service was a bit slow but they have a great choice on their menus. The food didn't disappoint, our friends commented that they thoroughly enjoyed the venue, the food and the atmosphere.

Booked through Open table really easy and quick. Got seated as we arrived & menus were on table, waitress came over to order drinks an take food order. There was no lamb but was advised pork had replaced. Meals came up quickly but could have been hotter as we asked for extra graveyard to heat up. I think that as... More

Haven't been to Black Horse for years, even though we live only a couple of miles away. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient, tables well spaced out. Food tasty, good value but menu is limited, the choice was smaller than expected no specials? The pudding for 2 to share was disappointing, very small portions, apple pie was about 1 mouthful,...
