About
AN ADVENTURE IN FRESHLY FORAGED PRODUCE WITH RUSTIC FLAVOUR & CHARM 30 Years Of Italian Heritage The Burzotta family set up one of the first authentically run Italian Restaurants in Southend-On-Sea Essex. The recipes of the old country, the fresh ingredients, the simplicity of Italian cooking, all deliciously accompanied with fine wines, representative of the Italian regions, brought to the town centre of Southend, the traditions of Italian heritage & culinary cuisine. As the restaurant grew in popluarity, relatives came to visit, with some remaining. Il Pescatore restaurant's lifespan now reaches close to 30 years of trading, it can proudly profess to be the original and one of the longest

Lovely lunch here today with my husband and little boy. I used to eat here lots when younger, and during lockdown we ordered several times as a takeaway and finally today managed to go back inside. We had cheese garlic bread to start, plenty for...three of us My little boy (6) had a kids pizza with extra bacon (it’s quite big) he didn’t eat it all, so we took almost 3/4 home. My husband had steak with creamy cheese sauce, vegetables and potatoes, and I had cannelloni with a mixed salad. Two beers, two diet cokes and an apple juice. Will definitely be back again. The gentleman serving us was very polite, and checking in on us to make sure everything was okay. Thank you Sarah, Michael and AlfieMore

Don't have a starter as very small & over priced for amount you get. Main course are ok value but no veg! Vegetables £5.50 extra for small spoonfuls put on your plate. Drinks over priced & service ok but not very friendly, would not return...or recommend!!More

I hadn’t eaten here for ages, and wanted a traditional spaghetti bolognese; it didn’t disappoint. A group of four of us were easily accommodated on a Monday night; although the restaurant did get quite busy. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was tasty...and plentiful; the service was spot on.the atmosphere was also great. I forgot how good the restaurant was; I will definitely return more often.More

We were in Southend for a night out and my kids wanted Pasta & Pizza for dinner so we went on Tripadvisor and this place was the closest to our hotel. We were so pleased we chose here rather than Pizza Express just round the...corner. The food was amazing, all four meals had great flavour. The staff were very friendly and polite. All round it was a fab meal and if we are ever back in Southend we will definitely go back for more.More

Staff were friendly and welcoming. We couldn’t chose between 2 bottles of wine so the waiter discussed our food choices with us and made the recommendations of what wine we should drink. It was perfectly tasty and we were really impressed with the knowledge and...advice offered. I went for the lobster ravioli and he went for a seafood salad as starters then for mains I had sea bass and he had fish stew. The food was super tasty, we couldn’t manage desert so opted for a limencello to end the meal which was a great quality limencello. We would recommend this restaurant.More

My partner and I stumble across this little gem called il Pescatore!!!! Where do we begin? Atmosphere was amazing!!! You feel like you are in Sicily...Literally the staff could not do more for you. We felt like we were part of the family. The bruschetta...was amazing!!! The lobster pasta was to die for!!! My partner opted for the sit and turf!! The steak was cooked to perfection!!! The dessert lemon and honey cheese cake was beyond beautiful!!! The portions are huge!!!We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to experience a true taste of Italy!!!! We will be back 100percent Thank you to all the staff!!More
