We went as a family of 4 for an evening meal. Superb from start to finish. Very highly recommend. The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely atmosphere.

From the reception area to being shown to our table we attended with family for my birthday end of June. The food was excellent and so was the service. Even helpful with the child's menu. We had a very attentive waitress from beginning to end...of meal. Excellent choices and vegan too. Last time we visited was for my daughter's 40th and again excellent service. Also good view of the seafront from our table. Prices are up because of pandemic but was expected at this time.More

Treated a friend to afternoon tea here a couple of years ago and had such a wonderful time that I decided to treat my mum for her 80th birthday. Although the food was very nice and the waiting staff attentive, the rest of the experience...couldn't have been more different. The area where the afternoon tea is now served is much smaller and very cramped and noisy. On the day we went it was packed and there were several very small children screaming and running around and we both left with headaches. The whole experience was nothing like what I had previously experienced with my friend. Unfortunately I will not be returning and would not recommend this place if you are looking for a nice relaxing afternoon out. Next time I will go somewhere local and pay half the price!!More

Pleasant surroundings, staff were very polite. We were offered no choice of teas, it wasn’t until we were leaving we noticed most people had menus to choose from. Sandwiches very nice but again no choice and we had to guess what we were eating! Cakes...were lovely. Enjoyable but could have been better, disappointed.More

This was our first visit to the restaurant at the Roslin Beach Hotel since moving into the area three weeks ago. We went for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. On arrival, the car park was a bit of a challenge so opted...to park off site. Our reservation was for 3.15pm, we arrived at 2.45pm and made our way into the bar for a pre lunch drink. The bar, lounge and restaurant areas were heaving with people all out for a Sunday treat. The atmosphere was very friendly and all the staff were most accommodating and efficient. We had a lovely table overlooking the esplanade and the estuary and felt really comfortable and welcome. The food was really excellent, albeit the portions were a little on the large side for us, with a good choice. Although people were arriving late into the afternoon, we weren't rushed at all, and left feeling very happy with our lunch experience. Overall it was perfect and we will most definitely return. Our thanks to all the staff that looked after us.More

Sunday Lunch with friends. Had to wait for ages to get a drink and had to ask three times. Got to our table and had to wait ages for a menu and then ages again to have our order taken. The place was crowded and...there seemed to be plenty of staff who seemed collectively disorganised. I don’t know whether they bring in a lot of temporary staff at the weekends. When our starters arrived they were fine although some could have been warmer. The problem came with the main course which some of our group sent back for being too cold and others moaned and ate it. My meal was replaced with good grace but looked as though it had been far to long in the microwave so I just sent it back. Desserts were delicious. Our complaints were well handled by the manager. I will go back to the Roslin as it is a lovely place but will avoid peak times.More

Booked for a birthday treat. We phoned in beforehand to ask if sandwiches could all be on granary and sure enough they were. The fillings were extremely tasty and the mini quiches were delicious. Then a middle section of scones beckon you with clotted cream...& Wilkins Jam - also delicious. The top plate consisted of mini dessert treats and these were all naughty but nice. Large choices of teas were available, with refills and there was coffee as well. We had the champagne tea and chose the rose rather than the right. We were very well looked after and had a lovely time. It is not the cheapest afternoon tea out there but it is worth every penny and the hotel is always a pleasure to visit.More

Seven of us ate at The Roslin for my fiancé’s birthday meal and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the decor is incredible and the food is just top notch! Was also really surprised when the bill came,...was expecting it to be dearer than it was. Overall, simple cannot fault it.More

Myself and two friends came here for afternoon tea. It was our first time here and we were really impressed. The afternoon tea was beautiful and their pina coladas are the best I've ever had!! The hotel is just so beautifully decorated , its gorgeous!!...The toilets were super clean and had plenty of mirrors for us ladies to touch up our makeup etc , they had elemes hand wash and lotion at the sinks. We all said we will 100 percent return here and go for some drinks in the bar area next time. What a hidden gem , not far from the busy seafront. The staff on shift that day were really kind and lovely And were really helpful! We all had a great day! Can't recommend enough!! *****More
