The restaurant was well lit and appeared recently redecorated showing the restaurant's South Indian styling. We were greeted as friends, which was lovely, the menu options and dishes were explained in full and discussed. Service was friendly and well paced, the food was exquisite, all...in all a lovely dining experience. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Thank you.More
Red chiliez has been a favourite of ours for the time we’ve been at Southend-on-Sea and it has not failed us other than for the time the my were shut due to government delays. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and the beef cutlets...and subtly spiced “biriyani” is to go for. The biriyani is not really a biriyani but more a spiced rice dish made in the traditional Kerala style. Apart from these staples, non Kerala stalwarts like a dosa or vada at best had fresh and hot. All said and done this is as close as it gets to real South Indian food, about 85% authentic which is pretty much 100% when you aren’t in the actual country of your food’s USP!More
Such a Delicious south Indian food with highly standard maintained.. Friendly staff with top service.…..No words it's worth and affordable price....
Its one of the best South Indian restaurants i have experience.Excellent and tasty food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. Highly recommended.
We have enjoyed both eating in this restaurant and having a takeaway. Every time the food is exceptional and it really is now our favourite place. Such high quality and nice to try and appreciate authentic dishes. Would highly recommend! The
I have reviewed this restaurant twice before, and the only reason why I am not doing another lengthy praise, but this time I have to highlight that we had a takeaway and the food was as good as it was sitting in their restaurant. This...is by far and away the best curry in Southend, serving food with Kerala influence, and had to put another 5* review and acknowledge you can get a takeaway from them. Lamb and potato curry, grandmas chicken curry, fish in banana leaf, curried ladies fingers, steamed coconut spinach and the incredible Paratha. I can’t stop eating theses dishes. Stunning food. Absolutely stunning as always.More
So nice to go out with friends and try flavour combinations that were new to us. Could not fault it and great service too. Everything explained and freshly cooked. We will be back as we need to try more dishes 😋
To be honest was pretty disappointed with the service here about reading good reviews. Had to wait around 2 hours before being served main meal. Felt like we were forgotten about for a while. The food was ok but have had better!
What a lovely Resturant! Lovely people very real and true to their region and lovely to speak to them about the food and recommendations If you want a true lovely flavoursome Indian meal this is the place for you - Kerala paratha bread what an...amazing discovery! The best of the best We will back I am sure time and again !More
The best South Indian food I have ever had… I will definitely go back again..Plenty of vegan and gluten-free options… The staff was very welcoming..
my go to for the most unreal meals, the aubergine theeyal & gobi 65 are the best combination! the curries are so unique and flavourful cannot recommend enough
The best fish masala ever and the prawn 65 was the best delicious prawn in batter dish. Unbelievable taste. No need to travel so far to Eastham for Kerala dishes, this place is the ultimate. My family & I loved it with graceful hospitality. Also...try the paratha, totally outstanding. Don't understand with certain people's reviews as being poor but please note this restaurant only does authentic Kerala food, none of the typical Indian dishes. The food is as close to being in Kerala but a bit in the pricey side but worth for the quality.More
Vegetables were practically raw , potatoes was so undercook that there was a crunch to it . Literary ! Fish curry was so salty and consisted of water , red chilly powder and tamarind , no Kerala fish curry spices that were mentioned in their...menu . Really disappointed and what a rip off . Please avoid and don’t waste your money eating here .More
