We enjoyed our meal which was served very quickly. A bit confused to have the starter served at the same time as our main, but was not a problem. The food was plentiful and we thought good value for money. The restaurant was nearly refurbished and was exceptionally clean. The staff were very attentive, perhaps a bit too much. I had an Ebi Katsu starter which was excellent, accompanied with sweet chilli dipping sauce. My husband had the Takoyaki dumplings which he enjoyed and they were on special offer at £1.00 a person. There is great attention to COVID requirements. I can recommend if you want a good hearty meal.

Someone I know has had a couple of takeaways from AKA over lockdown and they recommended the food so we visited for fathers day. The place is decked out well with good lighting and cherry blossom for decoration which is a nice escape from an otherwise ugly high street, jazz music and it was busy so a buzzing atmosphere which makes a change from the past year!
Service was prompt and friendly, fairly limited selection of small dishes so would be hard to comprise a meal from that menu but a diverse selection of mains to choose from. There are some bento boxes but they are all teriyaki, would be nice for some alternatives here as I love a bento box.
We ordered a small dish each and a main, the small dishes came out surprisingly quickly and were all very tasty. Some of the Takoyaki balls lacked much octopus but were all delicious still. I had the seafood Laksa which was a very generous portion, I couldn't finish it but enjoyed all that I could eat.
There is a good selection of beer (Asahi, Kirin Ichiban for example), reasonable selection of soft drinks, the dessert menu is limited but they have obviously focused on the most important menu which is the mains. The eat in prices are very reasonable, biggest surprise at the end was that the food menu was half price so for us it was excellent value.
I would highly recommend and will be back, good to see yet another good place to eat in Witham.

I love this place so much. Prior to me visiting the restaurant itself I had used the delivery service a few times so I knew what the food was like already, which is incredible. Best food I've ever had. I'm always telling people to try this place because of how amazing the food is. Yesterday I went for a date with my boyfriend and not only was the food amazing as per usual but the service is too. All the staff are so lovely, especially Kenny who did so much for us and is so kind. He saw me opening some of my birthday presents from my boyfriend and gave us complimentary prawn crackers, gave me a present and a card from the front of house staff (which I love and am so grateful for) and a slice of the most amazing tasting birthday cake, also complimentary, which was brought to me with all the staff singing happy birthday. No other restaurant I know goes to that much of an effort with such generosity. I am so beyond grateful for everything and it really made an amazing end to my birthday celebrations. I adore the staff there so much as well as the food obviously. It's so lovely inside the restaurant too and the prices are so reasonable/affordable, you get a lot for your money too and they even box it up for you to take home if you can't finish it. I cannot recommend this place enough. Perfect food, perfect service, all round amazing experiences.

First night out since lockdown, thought we'd try this restaurant and genuinely very very pleased.
Staff friendly and stuck to the COVID rules, which is ideal and good to see.
We ordered the deep fried prawns and salt and chilli squid which was tasty, full of flavour, great texture and not greasy. A very clean fry.
I had the green Thai curry which was flavorful, spicy and deep in flavour. My girlfriend had the cantonese pork that they make on site. Probably the best outside of China Town that we've. It is served with that famous rich soy sauce that they seem to have reduced down to a wonderful glaze. Both are served with rice, £1 extra for egg fried rice.
They have a good way of serving food where they push the food out of the kitchen as soon as its cooked and not wait for the other whole table before serving.
If you live in the area, I'd recommend you try it.

On arrival, one of our party did not have the track & trace app. He was literally treated like a leper. The staff attitude changed and our treatment throughout our experience was very poor. Staff were rude. When we requested menu assistance to help our food selection we were told they were too busy and that they’d come back later. The food we chose was delivered cold and on dirty plates. When we complained, our requests were ignored. Overall, a very bad & upsetting experience.

Had a second takeaway as a treat, honestly the best one in town. The portions are huge. The food is delivered piping hot, loads of flavours and the meat/fish in the dishes are not the fatty cuts. Can’t wait until we can visit the restaurant. A real plus for Witham. Well done AKA, keep up the hard work.

As a group of 7, we chose to meet after two years apart at AKA. We have previously used AKA for takeaway and have been consistently impressed so wanted to experience the restaurant.
We were greeted by the manager Kenny and seated immediately. While we waited for our party, Kenny and his team were very attentive and took time to explain the bottomless menu and drinks included.
We all opted for the Prosecco but some changed to cocktails. There was no shortage of Prosecco, the team were constantly checking if we needed more and topping the glasses up.
The cocktail menu is extensive and absolutely delicious.
The food was consistently great and overall we were impressed with the experience. We’ll absolutely be returning.
I personally was very impressed with the decor throughout the venue. It was previously a very rundown sports bar and restaurant but you’d never know that now - it’s beautiful!

First time visit. Great service, although one or two too many “is everything ok’ questions. I think one per course is enough😀. Food was good quality, although salad was a little disappointing. Hope the restaurant prospers but it might have to add a few non-noodle, non-rise dishes if it’s to avoid becoming a bit boring and not just an expensive noodle bar

Dined in this restaurant yesterday and was seriously impressed. I think it's the quietest we've ever been at a dinner table because we were enjoying our food so much! We ordered 4 small plates and 3 main meals and honestly every single dish was to die for and packed full of flavours! I would especially recommend the smoked chicken, chilli & pepper squid and kung po chicken.
The staff were super friendly and attentive, and despite the food being cooked fresh it still came out quickly. We will definitely be back again.

We booked a table for the first Friday that the restaurant was fully open and were not disappointed. We were looked after throughout the evening by Kenny who is a bubbly and friendly host. The food is of a very high standard and full of flavour with every dish really tasty.We immediately booked a table for New year's Eve and can't wait to try some different dishes.

We’ve been waiting to try this restaurant for what seems like an age, we were most certainly not disappointed. The welcome was warm and friendly with all the COVID safety we’ve all come to expect In these strange times. Our waitress, lovely lady called Summer (and I presume owners) were very attentive and the food arrived with us fast and piping hot! And the smell was delicious! We had some noddles with a few side dishes... the portions were very generous and once I’d put the first morsel in my mouth I couldn’t help but nom nom mom until I finished! The price is extremity reasonable we’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Best takeaway by far!!!! I have ordered frequently from AKA and me and My family enjoy it every time. It is faultless. Its just's just the treat you need in lockdown.food is always piping hot and fresh. Kenny is the most friendy and polite man, who just makes you feel welcome. I can't wait to the restaurant opens so I can enjoy my meal out and have a bev. Keep up the amazing work.

Went here for Fathers day, half price on all food- whats not to like? Great staff, nothing was too much trouble when tweaking ordring items off the menu. Very modern, busy restaurant. Will definitely be back. Heard great things about this place during lock-down regarding their takeaways. Been in the old "spread eagle" pub about 20yrs ago, was very dated then, apparently, my american uncle drank in here during 2nd world war- small world. Drinks a bit pricey i guess. Not very good choice for kids menu at all.

I don’t normally do this but after such a wonderful meal I must recommend it. We ordered a take away tonight, thought as it was a new restaurant we’d give it a go! It was the best take away I have had for a long time! It tasted really fresh, big portions and the staff were really friendly and complied really well with the COVID restrictions. Can highly recommend this restaurant. Here’s hoping this is another local restaurant we can keep on our high street!

We booked for 22 people on Saturday night, lots of the guests hadn't been before, and I suspect a few of the more local guests will visit again.
We had the same experience we would have got with two people dining, each course was all placed on the table for each guest at the same time, hot, tasty well presented dishes. Staff were tentative, quick with drinks orders. The whole evening was fantastic. I cant wait to have a Katsu Lo-mein again.
