Popped in for a light lunch. Nice big restaurant, good service and a decent menu selection. Just had baguettes, crocques and sandwiches with a few drinks but nicely prepared and served, so all good.

This is one of our favourite restaurants when visiting Salford Quays. The staff are always very attentive and the atmosphere is so relaxing.

Barry is the best! Very kind, courteous and helpful in every way. Service not rushed or slow, although very busy. Small issue with husbands drink but rectified quickly. A rare lovely guy in an industry where most staff or now so miserable! The food was spot on, and the young lady who did our dessert and tea was lovely also,... More

We visited on Saturday 11th March. We arrived 10 minutes earlier than our reservation time of 5.30pm. We were seated efficiently and our order taken, drinks arrived, nibbles arrived, all seemed promising. Then we waited...and waited.... At 6.15pm we spoke with the (very pleasant) waitress. We made her aware we were booked into the Lowry theatre at 7pm. She went... More

Bonjour, Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us after your visit and please accept our apologies that it wasn’t the enjoyable experience it should have been. As regular guests it's so disappointing to hear we didn't live up to our usually high standards and on this occasion it impacted your evening. So we may provide a more... More

Although a chain normally really enjoy cafe rouge. Not this time. The waiter was really friendly, funny and helpful. However the food service was really slow and incredibly salty. My husband has grit in his muscles and it was clear that they hadn't been cleaned properly. Staff were very apologetic, apparently they are bought in cleaned, but took the cost... More

Dropped into Cafe Rouge late afternoon whilst visiting the Quays in response to an emailed voucher promoting their new menu. I stuck with my usual 5oz rump and fries (which is always a nice steak at this chain), and my partner tried the new tagine. A well flavoured dish, although she was slightly surprised that it was only available as... More

Average but acceptable experience. Attending two performances at the Lowry, I found Cafe Rouge conveniently placed nearby. Last Wednesday was not too busy, so I thought there would be plenty of time to eat. Luckily before I ordered I realised that others had been waiting a long time, so I changed plans and ordered one course so I would not... More

Bonjour, Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us after your visit, it's great to hear you enjoyed your meal but disappointing to hear there was a delay on food. Salford is a very busy pre-show site and usually is fully prepared for dinners attending the shows, I'm not sure what impacted this visit but will look into... More

45 minutes into being seated no sign of food. When starter arrived was not to menu: "its s new menu and kitchen are not used to it yet". Plate was dirty on edges as was the cutlery. Service was obtrusive and I asked to change tables and was permitted. I was then rebuked as the table I had moved to... More
