Made to feel very welcome; pre-booked table for a largish group. Drinks delivered quickly. Menu was a bit different from the usual run of the mill pub menu. Food was served quickly and was fresh, tasty and well presented. Attentive service. We were able to...More

Food is very good, chef knows what they are doing. 2nd time I have visited this pub in pretty village. Soups are beautifully made & very delicious. Only there is a problem, the service is so glacial in pace that it is beyond irritating. How...More

Excellent fish and chips for lunch. Some of the best I've had in a long time. Prepared perfectly and nice presentation. And the apricot and pistachio tart for dessert was delicious. Service was lost that day, but we didn't let it bother us...It's a great...More

This is a lovely pub. The food is fabulous. We had the Camembert and cold meats to start and the pheasant pie and black pudding oxtail hash as mains. Extremely tasty. The service was first class. We shall return.
