Where to start...i could wright war and piece but all I can say is terrible!!! . Some of the elements from my starter where missing. 2 blobs of mash that taste like camping smash and dry over cooked chicken with coloured smears on my plate do not make a main dish. I agree with the older comments the chefs need... More

A lovely place to relax over a delicious Sunday Roast. Normally I do not have a pudding but I succumbed and it was yummy!

A one night stop over for business and arriving late meant I dined at the hotel restaurant. The waiter and waitress were charming. I had a prawn starter which was ok. Personally I found the sauce too heavy but the risotto was perfect . Asparagus . Very tasty. Large portions. A very comfortable restaurant to dine at on your own.... More

If our experience last week is representative of Mr White's abilities, he needs to spend less time trading off his name and training from the Roux Brothers and go back to college to finish his BTEC. In short, the food was made from poor ingredients, blandly flavoured, overcooked and served lukewarm onto cold plates. For starter I ordered the Duo... More

We visited for a meal a few days ago and the food is good, the location is good and the feel of the place is nice but just every element is a little lacking. Everything Could could be a bit better, the dinning room could be more cosy as it was freezing cold with none of the fires on and... More

I attended the restaurant for a work lunch with the slowest service I've ever received in my life. The staff were uninterested and the menu was as boring as the decor. For a restaurant which is supposed to be run by a top chef I was extremely let down The rib eye steak I asked for (medium rare) was over... More

My second review of this restaurant and it's definitely not as good as last time (which was four years ago). The 'average' rating I've given it this time may be a little unfair as the service was once again friendly and efficient. And all the dishes were beautifully presented. But for taste, I can't give it a higher rating. I... More

Maybe it's English cooking, or maybe it was just me, but the steak was very bland. For the prices, I was hoping for a bit more. Staff was very nice and attentive. Wine was good and appetizers were good. Not sure if I'd eat here again.

Food very average, crayfish salad without crayfish! Service unbelievably slow! I cannot believe the people who left good reviews have been there!
