Enjoyed watching the football here in busy but friendly pub. Food was generally quite good, but thought my mixed grill might have come with some salad? Beer was nice, but to me what makes this place is the friendly staff and, indeed locals. Will visit again.

We came here for for Sunday lunch with our 4 and 6 year old children. It also happened the EPL football was playing that day so the husband was very spoilt with choice of locations to watch the match at the pub. He started out in the garden watching it in a purpose built cabin aka man cave ;-) And... More

After a very very long bike ride through the beautiful new forest we needed a beer and was pleasantly surprised by the beer garden as we got to watch the football in a nice little cabin in the garden will return again!

I visited with friends after work one evening. The staff were really friendly and the food really nice. It was good pub food and we all really enjoyed it. There was also a very good selection, covering most tastes I think. I would happily eat here again.

Came here on a Sunday for the Carvery after booking online. The sittings are set at times which means no big rush. 4 different meats to choose from priced at £9 which is very good for the location. Great selection of vegetables and sauces. Only criticism was the beef was very rare. Not for my liking, but a personal choice.

Really good restaurant quality food served in a pub that needs a little bit of tlc. Good service and selections of beers on offer. But cannot fault the amazing food.

Apparently this is the oldest pub in the area, but definitely lacking atmosphere. Inwanted to know the history etc... they looked at me like I was mad. I feel they could make much more of this.
