Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had really delicious meals here an evening very recently. We all enjoyed our choices, mine was a special being fish pie - really tasty, hot and satisfying served with a medley of seasonal vegetables. We were all very satisfied with the food and prices. For similar or higher prices you can get meals at "chains" but they are often... More

Good location but disappointing food. Macaroni cheese tasty but very overpriced. Tuna baguette - more mayo than tuna. Both of us left feeling disappointed. Will not return but try elsewhere

We visited here while camping at the site next door. The food was tasty and the service was really friendly. I don't know whether I was in a different pub to some of the reviews here, but I felt it was a pleasant country pub, well suited to its surroundings and main clientele. We don't want everywhere turning into gastropubs!... More

My family and I were staying in a holiday cottage nearby on the edge of the new forest. After an afternoon exploring the roads through to beaulieu we spotted this gem of a pub/brewery on the way and decided to have our evening meal here. The meals were of an excellent quality and a reasonable price. The menu is very... More

Hadn't booked a table before we visited but they managed to all 7 of us in and two dogs, bearing in mind it was the weekend of Mother's Day! Lovely pub, friendly staff. Food very good, though a quite few of our main meal choices and dessert choices weren't available. However the food that did cone was very tasty and... More

We were staying at the adjoining campsite (although don't think they are run by the same people) We popped in for an evening meal. Food was excellent and reasonably priced they also had a good selection of real ales on. Staff friendly and helpfull.

Dog friendly which is good, however we thought the food was over priced for what it was. The bar didn't stock J2O for the children, but offered a substitute, and the toilets need seriously updating. Although a local, we wouldn't rush back.
