The food was great, some of the best fish and chips I’ve had on this side of the pond. Service was excellent, thanks especially to Phoebe for expediting everything!
Went here on Saturday and its usually a favourite when in this part of the New Forest. Knowing what my review was going to be I couldn't believe that the last review is basically the same as my findings! Ordered a baguette- 'Chicken, CRISPY bacon,...More
Came here on the spur of the moment last week. Wishing I hadn't bothered. Ordered from the menu what sounded to be a delicious sandwich; chicken with crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato and dijon mustard mayonnaise, with a choice of the bread for that day. Sounds...More

This very popular carvery always seems well attended, with advance booking advised. I’m sorry to have to say that last Sunday was truly dreadful. Our ‘customer experience ‘ was not a happy one. Access is along a challenging track which in parts would give some...More
We had booked a table for Sunday lunch but found a long queue when we arrived. It took us 25 minutes to reach the bar to order our meal and drinks . The carvery food was extremely disappointing and the pub has definitely gone downhill...More
