Our third lunch here in the last few months. The food and service were excellent. This is definitely a place for a good, tasty meal

Part of the same chain as the Trusty Servant so dog friendly and a good selection on the menu. I had the 49'er pie and it was very tasty as was the veg that accompanied it. My better half had the Nachos which was very disappointing as she was expecting what I had had at the Trusty Servant the day... More

The food here was perfect I had the burger and it was proper meat and it was amazing. The staff are considerate kind and if it's not to busy we managed to get 3 plates of food in 15 minutes! Now that's service!

A lovely cosy inn in which to enjoy an evening. The menu is full of interesting dishes and the food quality is excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all

A great pub with really good food on a wet and windy lunchtime. A reasonable choice of beers available which meant we all left left full and satisfied.

This pub has recently been totally refurbished and is now almost unrecognisable from its former self. Set on the edge of the New Forest it already has a headstart in its beautiful setting, but now the inside matches the gastro-pub/restaurant template it has become. We were seated at a table in front of a teetering pile of logs (luckily I... More

We visited the Oak as a big party of adults and kids and pre ordered food in advance. overall i thought they did quite well serving such a large group of people. the food itself was pretty solid. i had a steak pie that was quite tasty though probably could have done with a bit more sauce. All meals were... More

We booked here for Christmas dinner and although the pub and staff were great the food was not up to a great standard. We waited nearly an hour between the starter and main course and when it turned up it was dry and over done and just felt very disjointed and not how a Sunday roast should be let alone... More

Really great varied menu, with local fish and hand stretched pizzas (very yummy). There was a great relaxed atmosphere, especially by the fire. Will definitely recommend!

The Royal Oak is a family run historic pub set in the New Forest. It offers an excellent range of real ales and ciders, as well as lovely homemade food and desserts. The pub is near to local attractions such as Beaulieu motor museum, Lepe beach and Exbury gardens. Great for family, the beer garden and childrens play area offers a great resting point for days out.
