It was very good experience. Food were really good and staffs were helpful. They made us happy birthday letters for the last dish. Highly recommend!

This restaurant offers excellent food, professionally prepared with a standard of service which was memorable in a good way.

Whilst the menu was interesting, Collette's was practically empty. We visited on a Friday night & only two other tables were booked. It therefore felt flat with no atmosphere which was so disappointing. Service was extremely attentive but felt 'stuffy' compared to other fine dining restaurants we have visited in the past. I would not go back sadly.

We dined at Colette's while staying at the Grove for my birthday weekend. The dining experience was by far the best I have had anywhere and although the price was a bit steep, I thought it was value for the money. You need to take your time to enjoy all the wonderful flavours and textures Head Chef Russell Bateman sends... More

I’ll start with saying that if you are a foodie, DO NOT ENTER Colette’s at The Grove. We have given this place a go a few times over the years, each time feeling it should have been better, given the beautiful surroundings. There is a limited amount of good restaurants in Watford and we really wanted this to be better... More

First class fine dining with attention to detail. I cannot recommend this venue too highly for a special celebration, whether this is for a couple or a family occasion.

The food was lovely but very restricted choice in all courses. No atmosphere in the restaurant - very disappointed and definitely not coming back.

We booked for Valentines dinner with the wine flight. Given the price the experience was disappointing. Yes the food was good but not superb which at the price you would expect it to be. One dish had collapsed, the wine was brought to the table ready poured having been sitting on a sideboard for sometime meaning the white was not... More

The Grove is a lavish, Elizabethan country house hote located just 40 minutes from London that used to be the historical home for the Earls of Clarendon. Tucked away inside this splendid setting is the discreet and elegant Colette's restaurant, which is renowned for its three AA rosette worthy cuisine by rising star Head Chef Russell Bateman and award-winning wine list. With views over Charlotte's Vale, the 18th century dining room at Colette's which was described by the hotel's architect Martin Hulbert as "groovy-grand" - has been restored with chic table settings, contemporary artworks and an understated vanilla and coffee colour scheme. Popular with chic city-dwellers and fashionable foreigners, Colette's has a modern European menu, and the restaurant regularly hosts wine evenings themed on iconic wine regions.
