This cafe / restaurant is located right in the centre of Leominster. It is in a period building which also houses an antique centre. I visited for lunch and enjoyed a quiche salad for £6.75. It was quite a large cage and also came with coleslaw and potato salad. The tableservice was very pleasant.

I love visiting the merchants house ( it's a regular visit for me when I'm in Leominster) whether for a quick coffee & cake or a soup and cheese scone ( an amazing combo not to be missed). Many times I've enjoyed sitting by their fire & also out in the courtyard on a sunny day. The cafe also has... More

Visited lunchtime wonderful toasted sandwiches, very good coffee and excellent chocolate cake made for a super lunch. Will definitely visit again next time we are in Leominster. Would thoroughly recommend this establishment.

We visited Leominster on a drizzly Wednesday in February. We had passed this cafe by last visit as menu outside seems basic i.e soup, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, etc but today we were on the hunt for a warming soup so went to Merchant's aqbout 1.30pm. 2 soups were listed on the specials board, brocoli and ? and leek & potato... Stopped for late lunch my husband thoroughly enjoyed the soup although serving of bread was a tad stingy. I enjoyed a deliciously warm fruit scone. Top up of coffee offered too.

Friendly atmosphere clean and tidy well presented and reasonable prices will be going again. Cream tea, tea cakes and sandwiches as well as the soup are locally sourced. Owners and waitresses are lovely too

Lovely atmospheric building, part of a larger building selling collectables, which is always worth browsing. The staff are very helpful. The food is good. Highly recommend. We had the window table and it was interesting to sit and watch the world go by...

Get the table by the window in the front room for the view. Lots of quirky things to look at on the big window sill too. Soup was wonderfully hot with good but not great bread. The jacket potatoes taste oven done not microwaved. There's a decent choice of teas and coffees. And the cakes other customers had looked yummy.... More

We had lunch here 31st Oct 2016.I think it's totally overpriced food which is really rather bland and at £30.55 for 4 cheese toasties,a prawn sandwich. One hot chocolate and a pot of tea is ridiculous!
