A lovely warm welcome, a wide selection of teas and a very generous serving for afternoon tea of a splendid apple and berry crumble with ice cream. Nice decor. The day's newspapers to enjoy. I couldn't help but notice the person I presume to be the chef and be owner leafing through her collection of cookbooks. This augurs well for... More

I have eaten here on several occasions and each time the food has been of a consistently high standard. The home made soups and cakes are wonderful and the owners always make me and my dog feel really welcome. A great place, would definitely recommend it!

Stopped off at this lovely little place for a quick lunch, they cater for coeliacs so I wasn't worried about what I chose. Pleasant staff and reasonably priced.

Sails is excellent for traditional British cafe food. The staff are very friendly and the food always hot and cooked well. Its not gourmet but proper honest food. Sails doesn't try to be something it isn't. I come in nearly everyday now and always feel very satisfied. Good prices to.

I visited her with my husband and our friends. It's a cosy little cafe with plenty of homemade options. We had a choice of 4 homemade soups. I chose the spicy Mexican bean soup (spicy indeed and very tasty), and my husband chose the butternut squash soup (also very tasty). The soup comes with a generous sized roll. We then... More

Having removed ourselves from one eating place we found this cafe and thank goodness we did. Quite the opposite from the "restaurant" we tried, this small friendly place was just what we needed. A good wholesome lunch at reasonable prices and more than enough on your plate to satisfy. Thank you Sails you hit the nail on the head all... More

Needed a break stopped here. The welcome was very good. Home made food on offer there were four of us we all chose different things and it was all delicious. The owner went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our meals. Prices were reasonable and would definitely recommend this place.

As I noticed this cafe was packed out I assumed it was good. Only when I went in did I notice the Trip Advisor recommendation on the window. I had a cheese and bacon sandwich and an Americano. The bacon was very good and the grated cheese was tasty, though it wasn't melted...the sandwich was called a bacon and melt..should... More
