A warm welcome awaits you in this centrally placed hotel. We stayed in a lovely room, food and service was excellent and we promise next time we would stay longer. Lovely walks not far and lots of places of interest to visit nearby.

When you take your family and your slightly neurotic, vertically challenged dog for a weekend away, you know there is so much that could go wrong. Fortunately for us, nothing did (go wrong) at The George in Cranbrook. The welcome was genuine. The beautiful beamed room was charming - and surprisingly spacious. The beds are very comfy (and that includes... More

Shepherd Neame have upped their game recently and like the Bell Hotel in Sandwich, the George in Cranbrook has been greatly improved by their acquisition. The waiting staff deserve a special mention - excellent service

My husband and I went to the George over a weekend away, the only room we could find was the room with the bathroom feature which was fine. We arrived in our 4x4 which was a bit difficult to park, the pub is lovely, really nice vibes and both the pub and room was well decorated- the room we had... More

Visited to have a quick drink and meal Efficient bar staff in a busy hotel bar and restaurant. Menu ranges from basic ham egg and chips to seafood and modern British choices. Good coffee and house wines. The bar has a doggy friendly approach. Best hotel/bar in Cranbrook.

Overnighted here for 3 nights in early Nov 2016 to attend a young friend's wedding nearby. It is a lovely area, and the hotel's public spaces are full of character. Our room was excellent, despite the alarmingly steep final approach to our room (entitled Willow) in the attic space. The menus is excellent, but would become repetitive for those staying... More

not the best of british pub grub, the food was ok, but nothing to write home about, had hoped as i had invited french friends, that it may be a bit more impressive, but, the usual apology for the general lack of aplomb in service, quality , presentation and overall flavour... lacking... better when smothered in salt and pepper....

Good local pub out the front with dining room out the back. Food is decent and good value. Very accomodating with kids. Lots of cubby holes to sit in so if you want to avoid kids you can.
