Quirky, warm and welcoming. Today's newspapers out to read. Great coffee - organic from New Guinea- and my Eggs Douglas - capers and anchovies- brilliant. Heartily recommended!

A small hipster cafe (yes, even Deal has gone cool) with mismatched tables and chairs and the Saturday Guardian spread across the up-cycled church pews had all the alarm bells ringing. But service was reasonably quick (were they foraging for the mushrooms?), the builders tea was good and served in a teapot and the mushrooms on toast (a bargain at... More

Laid back no worries take your time and chill. This place despite it's rather tired feel - well it is tired but that is how it's meant to be, is heaven for breakfast. The coffee has to be one of the best in town. The black pudding, made by the Black Pig butchers is yummy as are the sausages from... More

We both had the full breakfast which was very tasty and the Americano coffees were just right. It was a bit pricier than other establishments £12 for the breakfast and then £2.50 for a large coffee and they didn't take debit / credit cards. The views out to sea was great and the staff attentive.

First the good did. Dogs are allowed! Rdered a Flat White and a Cortado and they didn't know what I meant in either case. They tried but overdid the espresso to milk in both cases. Coffee bitter. Not great but as I say they did try.

Divine Eggs Benedict, great hollandaise sauce, good portions. Bohemian setting, always buzzing, cosy, laid back service, good coffee, views of sea.

Not sure which was best - the proper croissant (not certain why we needed to ask for jam) or the view of someone else's full breakfast. Great coffee, charmingly haphazard newspaper sharing, a sensible selection of hot dishes and one of my favourite haunts.

This is my favourite spot in Deal for breakfast. I ordered the vegetarian full-english and was served an exhaustive range of vegetables (including beetroot, grilled peppers, aubergine), poached eggs, grilled halloumi accompanied by some delicious bread. All washed down with a first rate coffee. Definitely worth a visit (the tea-time cakes are good too!!)

Quite a cosy place and nice to sit and watch the world go by. Very good home made cakes on offer! Haven't had a meal here, had coffee and cake but it was good. What food we saw being served appeared good.

Good coffee although portion sizes varied according to which cup you got (they use mixed China). Was not pleased to see a dirty washroom that looked as though it needed a really good scrub.
