This is the closest you'll get to fine dining in Herne Bay. The food was innovative and in season with everything fresh and home made. The amuse bouche and palate cleanser were welcome additions which were absolutely delicious. My only gripe is that I asked about a group booking which they refused based on the ages of the diners (between... More

Had great meals here in the past and tonight was no exception, but for one thing. Being a vegetarian, I have had the some great meals here but this week there was no veggie main on the menu board. On asking the only main course available seemed to be the risotto which was being served as a side for one... More

Having eaten before in the evening and had excellent food and friendly and efficient service, we booked for 4 for Sunday lunch. A young waitress bought our water and was friendly and helpful - but had to refer to her 'senior' waitress who seemed devoid of any 'people skills' and offered answered in monosyllables. As one of our party is... More

Our third visit to this fantastic little restaurant was as good as the others. It was my husband's choice for his birthday meal and we all really enjoyed every mouthful. We highly recommend you visit and try the locally sourced food on the menu, which is thoughtfully cooked and served by friendly staff. Definately be back again.

Last evening my wife and I visited for the first time this gem of a restaurant here in Herne Bay to celebrate our anniversary. We started with seared squid and slip sole (a mini Dover sole ). For main course Lamb neck and monkfish.washed down with a crisp chenin blanc. Beautifully cooked and presented. We will definitely come again, should... More

On a cold blustery Wednesday in November we visited this lovely eatery. Beautifully prepared food. The cheap Syrah was yummy too. We were very well looked after. Thank you for a lovely meal!

I have reported in the past how good Jeff the Chef is at preparing Game and he proved it once again on a recent visit. Fresh, home baked bread followed by a pea and bacon amuse bouche, a tasty starter of lobster tortelli and then a great dish of pheasant served with pearl barley mushroom risotto and heritage carrots. Lemon... More

It's clear that the owners really care about their restaurant. I was unlucky with my food as my choice of monkfish in pancetta didn't suit my tastes, I have a strong aversion to dill. Would be 5 star if this had been mentioned on the menu. Service was faultless, food looked fantastic, and I really enjoyed the appetiser, starter and... More

Absolutely love this place. Friendly service, and consistently the best food in Kent. The attention to detail is second to none. A creative chef who is obviously passionate about his food. Never disappoints. Would whole heartedly recommend.
