Tried this place for lunch yesterday on our visit to margate. Left standing waiting to be seated even though not particularly busy. Left waiting to be served for approx 15 mins. Terrible service food just ok. Felt like they were doing us a favour. I asked for a piece of Halle I cheese to be added to my plater and... More

A friendly welcome from the waitress who was unfailingly pleasant throughout. Broken coffee machine so disappointed not to be able to have coffee with Sunday breakfast, only tea available. (Hopefully a temporary situation.) My bacon sandwich was very good. The scrambled egg, whilst good, could not be described as 'creamy' which was what the menu promised. What I really didn't... More

Although the decor is nice & the staff were welcoming at first, despite it being Feb & us being the only customers in there, as soon as we said we only wanted to order drinks not food the service changed dramatically. The menus were snatched from our hands & our coffees were dumped on the table, never to see a... More

I don't like complaining. I really don't. I generally leave that to other family members who are experts, but after visiting the Harbour Cafe yesterday have a few words to say, and maybe the owners can learn a thing or two. It was around 2pm and we wanted a light lunch. Having seen the 'All Day Breakfast' sign outside (in... More

Very good and prompt service for lunch. Disappointed no diet coke but Gannon and eggs were good if a little overpriced for lunch.

Still serving frozen chips of which you get about 8 of with a panini for an extra £1 They loose out on custom because of cash only policy and it certainly limited our choice. ?? Owner cooks the food or hangs around in the kitchen eating food whilst your order is being cooked. Cheap cutlery, uncomfortable chairs. Has nice fairy... More

Cosy looking frontage concealing a stripped back interior. Small but airy with large tables and a choice of bench, chairs or bar stool seating. Limited menu but fresh salad and vegetarian option. Staff went out of their way to conjure a vegan meal by adding and replacing ingredients on the hoof rather than just removing the animal products which most... More

What a nice find! This really cosy cafe is the perfect stop after a visit to the Turner contemporary and a stroll by the beach. The food is freshly prepared by the courteous staff and the coffee is really good! A lovely spot where you can take in the relaxed atmosphere of Margate. Nearby is also a b&b run by... More

Visited yesterday restaurant was packed but this was not due to the food! This was purely due to the lack of restaurants opened in Margate after the Christmas break. Salmon fish cakes were terrible! A few flakes of salmon and the cakes were soggy the chips were frozen the whole experience was a disaster! Very expensive

Looking for somewhere to eat we settled on this cafe. Greeted by friendly staff, and seated. The menu was varied with specials on the board, although there were no prices shown.( on the board). We ordered an all day brunch, and a glass of house white, strange combination i know. For the price it was good value. The cafe was... More
