Went on recommendation of a friend and found a quaint but friendly pub which has character and warm welcoming atmosphere logs fire lit in both rooms menu reads good and meals match up to description I would say its English pub food generous and quality food ideal for winter located in rural Lancashire but don't expect paper dollies, flat caps... Had a fantastic meal at the Black Horse, Limbrick. It was a mid week meal and the pub was quiet but the staff were really friendly. The food was lovely even though my chicken wings started was what I thought a little underdone when I made the staff aware they took it back and the chef was happy to explain... More

Visited last evening, with close family. The staff were friendly, attentive and not intrusive in any way. Being a Friday it was fish and chip night . Two meals and a bottle of wine £15. ( You could not buy two Mcdonalds for that price.) The food was well presented to a very high standard without being to fussy, on... More

Second visit here, good food and friendly service in a real pub. However felt a bit let down on "pie night" when the "pie" arrived.... A pie needs a bottom and shouldn't just be a bowl with filling topped with a piece of pastry just before serving 😠

Went for a girlie catch up with friends. The food was excellent. The staff were very helpful and a good laugh. There was a relaxed atmosphere and didn't feel rushed to order. Nice wine too.

We visited the Black Horse on Sunday for lunch with a friend who was celebrating her birthday. Our young grandson loves pasta, but there wasn't any on the children's menu. When the waiter heard him say he wanted pasta, he said he was sure the chef would make him some. He arrived back with a bowl of pasta in tomato... More
