Delicious deli food with lovely efficient service. My deli salad bowl consisted of most things that were on the deli counter plus some cheese and some excellent home made bread. A cut above your average cafe!

I visited with my Daughter and we sat downstairs as mobility is a problem for both of us, we were quickly attended to and just loved the look of everything on the menu, I ordered a cheese platter that came with 5 cheeses which were all identified by the server, it also came with home made breads and crackers, and... Lovely for lunches or a naughty home made cake and a cup of tea. The meats and cheese platters are delicious and the service is great. Beautiful old fashioned tea room.

Only heard about this place from a waitress at a restaurant we went to the night before. Hard to find down a narrow alleyway if you are on the main road, though its right opposite the famous sausage shop across the road. Its essentially a deli that serves food as well - all very nice and fresh - excellent choice... More

Great menu, so it was difficult to make a choice, but I ordered goat's cheese and avocado salad, and delicious berry lasso and was delighted with them. However, I wasn't so impressed by the chocolate cake, which was very crumbly All in all, I suggest you stick to the savouries, and pass on the cakes.

This place is awesome me and my son visited here for some take away. But after smelling and looking at all the food on offer we just had to have lunch. We started with a virgin cocktail which was made from fresh fruit then had the meat platter to share. My son wanted the cheese one for which we was... More

This was my second visit here. It really is a hidden gem! I had a really tasty veggie pate and toast with salad . This is the type of place I'm always on the look out for but very rarely find. This lady really knows how to combine flavours to make some fantastic food !

This is lovely delicatessen. The only way that we found out it was there was because we heard someone talking about it on the Main Street otherwise we wouldn't have known it was there. Excellent choice of cheese and if you are unsure about the taste of a cheese they offer you a sample. Well priced and the cheese is... More

Our cafe, deli and specialist cheese shop is located in the old Lee Carter Gym building between Castle Street and Lowergate. Best found by either parking in the Lowergate car park and coming up the steps in the left hand corner, or from Castle Street- nip down the narrow alley opposite Costa Coffee. The building is very long and thin so you can't see everything we do without exploring. There are also changes of level in the approach to and inside the premises and we will help anyone with mobility issues wherever possible. We have a loo downstairs, just ask, as well as the main one upstairs, but access still involves a couple of steps.
