We visit The Vic quite regularly for food and cannot fault a thing, Great service, Great food, Lovely place. My favorite is the braised steak and home cooked chips. Please never change your one of very few "proper pubs" left.

Visited here on Sunday with husband and elderly mother. They both had the large steak and kidney pudding with home made chips which they thoroughly enjoyed - only 1 piece of kidney and the rest filled with chunky steak. I had the slow cooked beef in ale with herby dumpling which was amazing. Definitely worth the money and will visit... More

My daughter had told me that the afternoon tea was really good so my husband and I decided to try it. We were warned by the friendly waitress that it was huge. She said that if we couldn't finish it she would wrap what was left and we could take it home When it arrived we realised that the waitress... More

We had our tea here the other night. We like it here as it's a cosy place to eat and drink. My wife had the suet pudding and chips which she really enjoyed, I had the lasagne and chips and have to be honest and say the lasagne was very bland which is unfortunate as I've had it before and... More

We moved to Tockholes just before Christmas last year, and are glad that the Vic is our local pub. There's always a warm and friendly welcome. The food is excellent and freshly made to order. They will adapt the menu and be very accommodating with their food. They have even done us take outs for the kids having sleepovers. You... More

I have visited here with family and with friends on many occasions, for different types of meals or afternoon tea. Always welcoming staff, dog friendly and a greatcoat village asset.

Went on a Friday afternoon to celebrate a 70th birthday. We had the afternoon tea which was £12.50 per head (minimum 2 persons). I hadn't been to the Vic for a number of years and found the same quaint pub to be a step back in time as always. Lovely traditional decor with a cosy feel. They only do the... More
