We came across this eatery when we couldn't get a table at any pubs ( Easter weekend ) . This was like eating in a village hall . Moreover the whole village came to eat . The staff called almost everyone by their first name which was charming. Most importantly the food was basic but well cooked and filling and... More

Visited here for breakfast on the strength of the posted reviews. Received service that can only be described as indifferent and breakfasts that were well below the standard we have come to expect. Perhaps we visited on a bad day, but certainly won't be visiting again, given the choice available in the Main Street.

Excellent home cooked food, generous portions and well priced. Lamb pie was delicious as was the bread and butter pudding. My brother had the liver and really enjoyed it. Eight of us all enjoyed our food and left feeling full and happy we had chosen to eat here!

Popped in here for a quick lunch whilst touring the Dales. Such good value and the food was delicious!! As already mentioned, the Wensleydale with cranberry tea cake is incredible. Kids loved their burgers and toasties too. Great staff and good service.

The food is always wonderful here. Check out the cranberry tea cake with Wensleydale...delicious! Very traditional feel, unique and lovely. Somewhere completely different to the many chains on the high street. Well worth a visit (or several).

Met some very special friends here. We had some good home cooked food. It wasn't over priced and the portion sizes were very good. Had a lovely evening

Quick cup of tea and scone with jam & cream. However the cream was squirty not clotted!!! The staff were friendly enough. Noticed that the several microwaves were in good use!! Good choice on the menu though!

1st time visit and wasn't disappointed. Hubby had a full English with proper bacon and everything, said it was one of the best breakfasts he had ever had, I would guess all locally sourced. I had a smaller version and that was good too, even the toast was tasty! Would return
