This was the saving grace that the food was good otherwise the trip to this Hotel would have been a disaster.

Stayed for a night at Monk Fryston Hall for our wedding anniversary. We booked a package with a 3 course meal on Secret escapes excellent value, the room was beautiful, the bathroom was a little dated and the floorboards were creaky but that's to be expected of a building of such age. The grounds were lovely and the 3 course... More

Good value and great food. Monk Fryston Hall is historical and picturesque. The food is traditional English food and is cooked to perfection. After your meal head to the bar for a quiet drink.

We stopped for lunch and were not disappointed! I started with tomato soup followed by a beef dish and finished with lemon tart. It was all delicious compliments to the chef! We were served by Becky and Marius who looked after us well. The building is full of history and oozes charter. We will be back

Some unusual dishes, beautifully presented and all delicious. Cheese platter was very large! Staff were attentive and pleasant and the venue was charming.

I went for the experience....glad not for the food! Coffee was terrible (they were shocked I asked for a refund but were very willing to oblige) & the soup was pitiful (mixed vegetable). It was watery pureed celery/asparagus w/ thyme. For £5/$7.50, it was a waste of money. However, they did provide gluten free bread upon request. My friend had... More

After our previous visit some time ago, my friend and I decided to try again because we like the place so much. We have visited this place many times over the last 20 years and seen many changes, not all for the good. Last time we were bitterly disappointed. This time, what a difference!! The food was excellent, the service... More

Attended a friends wedding which was a fantastic day from start to finish. The location and settings are beautiful and something other venues would not be able to compete with. I have to say the hotel is lacking some TLC and is a little dated. The rooms were okay but for the price I did expect more. Breakfast was chaos... More
