We were on our way back from the lakes and arrived here via the A66 at coffee break time. We knew from previous visits that the surrounding scenery was lovely and great to enjoy a good cup of cappuccino with a home made cake or scone while sat outside enjoying the sun. Far better than a motorway service café and... More

Stopped in for breakfast and had the full monty. It was distinctly so-so. Or would have been so-so if it had been hot instead of lukewarm. Frankly it weighed in more on the "poor" side and did not measure up well to the offerings from similar establishments that we have visited. The place is in complete chaos with its ridiculous... Stopped at this gorgeous place for breakfast on our way to The Lakes. Hubby & I had a huge cooked breakfast, piping hot & well cooked. Will definitely return. Then had a browse in their wonderful farm shop, this is a stunning place, well done all.

We stopped for a quick coffee on our return journey from the Lake District and were amazed at the expansion of this venue. What a great range of food, drink, gifts, etc. We came away with a lovely selection of food for our meals during the next few days.

Met up with family as a half way point. Enjoyed seeing the animals especially the lambs! Gorgeous views which we enjoyed from the outdoor seating and play area. Tasty meals in the cafe again with lovely views, a little hint to the staff, maybe take payment after food ordering as you could easily forget to pay on exit! We all enjoyed... More

We frequently visit here and it's great, brilliant food and excellent cakes. Everything is made to a high quality and served within a reasonable time even when it's busy. If you're looking for a fast 20 minutes pit stop while traveling this isn't for you, but it's good for a nice lunch as part of a day out. The surrounding... More

I am a regular visitor to the shop but was my first time in the cafe the food was average for a tea room, not bad at all, just average, they had a good selection and at the time we visited was busy. It is very clean and well looked after, as are the facilities, staff were not friendly or... More

We went up here to have a spot of lunch and look round the farmshop as their butchery section is very good. 2 of us enjoyed the generous afternoon teas - sandwiches, sausage roll, vegetable crisps, salad, scone, meringue and Victoria sponge. The other item ordered was a ploughman's and whilst the food was tasty it looked a bit messy... More

Went for a late lunch and was not disappointed. Despite being a queue we got served quickly and still had no problem finding a table. Food arrived well presented and hot. Not expensive. Wholesome food. Highly recommend going there. Staff are pleasant. Also the gift shop is full of lovely items and the walk around the farm let's you see... More
